The Finale: A Collection of Memories

Well, this place has served me well. It was originally opened up just to follow the stupid blog trend, but unexpectedly, my blog outlived every other one with the only 'competitors' being Bristan's and Dornel's. After awhile, I became upset that I had to use this site, a site that should have been used as a personal diary for expressing my daily thoughts and feelings, to entertain people. That's probably when my blog got boring, when I stopped giving a shit about being funny or making people WANT to come here. That was around the middle of this year, if I'm not wrong after the stabbing incident with Dornel.

This blog will serve as a collection of memories of my late Sec 2 year and my entire Sec 3 year. It holds memories from the first G-Fest, 2009 OEP and many many outings. My first anime convention is also documented here.

I don't really know what to say anymore, I was thinking of typing up a storm but I'm going blank already. Basically, I'll start up a new blog soon after I'm done doing designs and shit, hopefully it'll be less bleak. But I doubt it.

Goodbye, otakusaurus.blogspot.com.

Also, this is the 301th post. I suck at countdowns.

Countdown3: 17th December 2009

I woke up at 1.
I camped by computer until 2.
I showered.
I checked the anime sites, nothing.
I surfed the internets doing nothing of interest.
I played the PS3 for an hour.
I unlocked Thermal for the Intervention.
I played Project Diva for about 30 minutes.
I re-installed Planetarian.
I cleaned up my computer.
I played DotA.
I ate dinner.
I played more DotA.
I lied.
I went to sleep.

Countdown4: GFest December '09

Actually nothing interesting. Hanged around, played Modern Warfare 2, ate at Sakae Sushi, slept with Jon Wei and Thomas, woke up, more Modern Warfare 2, went for McDonald's at West Coast Park, came back, even more Modern Warfare 2, left. Same old, same old.

On the way home, took a taxi 'cause I was lazy and didn't want to go to Clementi to top up my EZ Link card and then have to take MRT to Commonwealth and take that bastard bus home, so I took a taxi. The guy got lost (instead of turning right at SP, he went straight up) and then by the time he found the way to my house, the meter should have been around $12. But he was nice, he turned off the meter after he realised that he heard me wrongly (he thought I said Holland road, not Holland hill) and reduced the meter to $7 and paid me back the change from his own pocket. He also sounded really depressed about the whole thing.

Makes me feel good that there are nice people like that still existent. I thought he made the roundabout trip just to increase the meter fare.

Countdown5: Reasoning

When you want to take a team game to the next level, the competitive stage, your team has to want to go there with you. Obviously you guys don't take DotA very seriously, so I can't really do much about that.

When you want to take a solo game to the next level, it's only you, yourself that has to want to reach that next level. Hence, I took Dissidia as my solo competitive game. :)

Countdown6: The Local Dissidia Tournament

Well, tournaments sure do have a pressurizing atmosphere. Everyone's hands were shaking during the rounds in the 1st bracket, even the organizer's. I nearly lost my first match because of nervousness, Randall and Dornel both lost because of their nervousness I guess. And after that loss, they became even more nervous because after you lose once, if you lose again you're pretty much out. Though it's pretty evident that when there's no pressure all of us become much better players, shown by how Randall dominated his last opponent, after he found out he was already out of the tournament and just played for fun and Dornel beating the tournament winner with his Garland after the tournament.

In any case, that nervousness broke me in the finals when I used the wrong move because I wasn't thinking right, but I guess there's no point bitching about it now.

It was definitely fun, everyone there was nicer than I expected. One of them even shook hands with everyone that he fought, before and after the match. And Louis Teo was in the LAN shop which was next to where we were holding the tournament, and when he came out and asked me what I was doing, Dornel replied Dissidia, then Louis was like "Haha! You all no life ah!" and then in comes Aeon who is another tournament participant, gave Louis that 'Fuck Off' look, and said something about nothing being wrong with playing PSP.

In the end, I dominated my 2nd round which got me into the semi finals, where I had to fight a super defensive Squall. I would've called him out for EX Camping, but his blocking was so good I figured I'd just be better off doing the same thing as him. When I got to the finals which was a round robin format between 5 players, which means every player fights each of the other players and the one with the highest W/L ratio wins. I won my first match, lost my second, won my third match and lost my fourth which is because of the panic. I could've won it, but I did the wrong thing. Gotta keep calm next time.

For the Tiebreaker round (There was one guy with 3W1L, 3 people with 2W2L and one guy with 1W3L), I lost all my matches. I seriously can't fight Cloud for some reason, and for Kefka that was just a really bad map.

In the end I got 4th place out of 20 participants which is already pretty good in my opinion. My 2 wins in the finals was against the Tournament Champion and 1st Runner Up, so I guess the Top 5 were actually all pretty even. I got complimented, heard people talking about me a few times, though for those I'm not sure whether they were good or bad comments. I did hear one that was like "Damn that guy Haru dominated everyone so far".

Hehe.

Good feeling, can't wait for the next one. Hopefully all 3 of us (assuming Dornel and Randall still interested) won't be so nervous next time and can get to at least the semi finals together.

Countdown8: Like a spring breeze

Being thrashed in Dissidia is a very refreshing feeling. Maybe because I'm the best amongst the people I know so it feels good to know there are more challenges out there. Also because Dissidia is a 1 on 1 solo fight where you can't blame other people.

Being thrashed in DotA is a fucking shitty feeling. Maybe because I'm only slightly above average amongst the people I know so it feels like shit to know that I'm not the best that will climb the ladder of challenges first, not that my friends give a shit about that. It's probably also because I lurk DotA forums and played DotA for the longest time, and was the best by far when we all started playing together. Now I'm damn useless. Also because DotA is a team game where your teammates can royally fuck it up for you.

Hm..

Countdown9: Countdown

I can't tell whats worse, dealing with 'lawl' every 2 fucking seconds or dealing with stupid shit agi carriers and Sacred Warriors who can't do shit, Spectres that are fucking stupid and Zeus' who don't have bottles. Motherfucking hell.

tl;dr, fuck everyone.

2 days to tournament.

Countdown10: Cineleisure

Went over to Cineleisure at 11 to accompany poor Thomas, since I knew he'd go 30 minutes earlier. In the end everyone else came relatively late except Jon Wei, Merrill was about 10 minutes late, and the rest are too long that I forgot about checking time.

Ate at Kobayashi, the Japanese place with Fast Food rates. Never eat the Beef Bulgogi there again, tastes cheap and salty.

Walked over to the Dungeon at Park Lane Mall, computers fucked up on us so after about 30 minutes of frustration we went over to Chambers. Played a few games of L4D2, Merrill got bored, then the 2 groups seperated. Me, Randall and Dornel played Company of Heroes while we thought Merrill and Jon Wei were playing StarCraft, but all 4 of them were L4D2ing. When Randall and Dornel played Red Alert 3, I left. Randall followed awhile after.

Was damn stone on the way home on the MRT, until I missed my station and had to go to Dover to take my direct bus home. Depressing shit. Then when I was getting off the 105 bus to the bus stop outside my house, I accidentally slapped a woman with the side of my bag, and no time to apologize cause it happened when I got off.

And 2 people got way too close to me today. On the way to Cine, I was standing in the corner of the MRT door, like where the small wall is thats attached to the seat. A guy walked up to me, stood maybe 15 cm away from me, facing me, then put his arm over my head, like hes leaning on the wall of the MRT. On the way home, on the 105 bus, this girl walked up to me and stood next to me, and kept moving towards me during the whole ride until I got off.

Meh.

Ohoho

I think I'm just trying to filler post my way towards post 300.

Just to clarify, this blog and its posts are not my 'cries for help'. I'm just posting what I think here, so that one day I can look back to this place and hopefully think 'Haha, I was so naive back then'. Unlike Dornel and his blog, I'm not thinking about the readers at all, I don't care if you all think this is boring or uninteresting or not entertaining.

That is all.

Asura' Cryin

On a happier note (within 2 hours of the last post nonetheless), Asura Cryin is a great anime. I was actually getting bored at episode 18, and I stopped watching there, but now I've continued and watched until 20 and it looks like it's going to have a great continuation. Though I keep expecting Tomoharu to make himself an Asura' Cryin in desperation.

I hope Chihiro gets faster and finishes off the next few episodes quickly.

What an emo faggot

I feel so fucking.. er, faggot.
I can't tell what I want and what I don't want anymore.
I can't tell if I'm having fun or pretending to fulfill my life.
I can't tell if I'm happy or frustrated.

I know I have fun watching animes like CLANNAD, I know I had fun spending 50 over hours on the CLANNAD game, I know I have fun theorycrafting for Dissidia and DotA, I know I had fun fighting people on Dissidia's online play, I know I had fun at the anime conventions I've went to, I know I have fun drawing no matter the result, I know I have fun playing the piano learning anime-based songs.

I don't know if I have fun playing DotA every night with everyone, I don't know if I have fun going out with everyone, I don't know if I have fun listening to all of you talk, I don't know if I have fun going to sleepovers, I don't know if I really want to go to any of these outings or sleepovers, I don't know if I have fun talking to any of you.

I'm having a problem.

I know I love anime, theorycrafting for games, playing games in general, drawing and piano because I choose to do these things myself. Other than people calling me an otaku fag, which already stopped, there is no influence on my decision to do these things or not. I love these things naturally and want to do them purely out of my own will.

What I can't tell is... do I have fun with everyone else. If I don't talk to anyone, I hve no one to talk to when I need to. If I am not in the mood to talk to anyone, I still have to bear with it because if not there's a negative influence. If I don't want to play and have no good reason, I'm a faggot. If I do play and play purely my way, shouting and screaming at anyone who irritates me, I'm a faggot. If I don't ever go out with anyone, I'm a faggot.

These thoughts only started when I realised I've spent 3 years knowing Merrill, he was the one who eventually linked me up to everyone else, because we were coincidentally in the same class in year one. I was still a happy, random kid back then as far as I can remember, but I've changed dramatically since then. I'm consciously refusing anything I don't like without a thought of other people, I scold anyone whom I personally think is doing something wrong, and I like pushing people under me through words or actions.

I recently realized I don't like a lot of the things he does, maybe it's because we were playing DotA at the time and I realized that the rest of us have this vague sense of seriousness in playing, except Randall 'cause he's fucking whiny. Jon Wei, Thomas can be rallied into being serious, Dornel is a bit too enthusiastic sometimes and it pisses me off when he denies it, but ultimately he can also be serious. Merrill is only serious, from what I've observed, when his personal KD is really fucked up, or when he's just pissed off. And even then, he only gets serious from the occurence of these things once in awhile.

Lots of people tell me 'it's just a game, there's no reason to get so pissed off about it'. As someone who spends his hours on the DotA forum, reading little bits of info here and there that has resulted in my amassed knowledge of DotA and Warcraft 3 mechanics, I have my pride. I play ultimately to win, I enjoy the feeling of dominating my opponent. Hence, I love it when I win, I may not hate it when I lose because the enemies were competent. I will hate it if it was because my team was not serious.

After thinking about that, I can't tell if I'm actually having fun with the rest of you. Maybe it's because I need to fulfill this 'requirement' called 'having a life'. A want that I consciously deny that I have, but unsciously have. I'm a bit of a non-comformist, occasionally I do things that are unorthodox to be different, unique. But I myself know that I feel that pressure to be 'normal' for most things. I don't want to be a social outcast, I don't want to have my only friends be those over internet forums, MSN or worse still, the girls in my visual novels. Maybe that's why I force myself to go out, to hang out with everyone and to 'have fun'.

I can't even tell what kind of impact this will have on everyone, if they happen to read this post. I can't even say I have another month before school starts to sort out my mind, communication happens every day. I have ultimately until the next conversation starts to get it straight.

My current Techies build

I don't think anyone cares, but for anyone whos wondering how I play my techies:

Lv1: LandM
Lv2: Stats
Lv3: LandM
Lv4: Stats
Lv5: LandM
Lv6: RemoteM
Lv7: LandM/Stats/Suicide
Lv8: LandM/Stats
Lv9: Statis/Stats
Lv10: Stats
Lv11: RemoteM

After that it's all stats with Remote at level 16.

Starting Items: Mantle x2, Branch x2, Tango, Clarity x2 OR Healing Salve
Take Clarities if you're double laning, salve if you're soloing.

Follow up in this order: Force Staff, Aghanims, Guinsoo

You shouldn't be any richer. Play pusher. I took this build from YamateH, whom is a Kingsurf player if I'm not wrong. He used this techies in a competitive game and won, he solo'd the lane by the way.

Play to win

Play to Win

I just read this entire article.
Now I'm put in deep thought.

What I got from this article was:
- Use any means necessary as long as the elitist pro bastards think it's alright.

So there are certain things that 'bring the game to a whole new level', and things that 'completely break the game until it's not playable'. Those would be the unblockable custom combos and Akuma respectively.

I wish he addressed things like infinites, would those be considered 'a necessary means to be used to win', or something that 'breaks the game'.

Bah.

So the rules are set by the pros of the community, those who find a counter to these 'cheap' tactics. I only play 2 games seriously, Dissidia and DotA. Both of these games have incredibly annoying tactics that you have to deal with when you're playing people who 'play to win'.

In Dissidia, it's infinite combos.

In DotA, it would be backdooring. I guess to pubs it would be ganking all game but we all know thats a legit way of playing.

In Dissidia, I play by rules that banned EX Counter, EX Burst. Even though I already know ways to counter those tactics, fake out the enemy and make them waste their EX Guard. Still, I ban it for some reason. I wonder why, was I just pissed off with being beaten in a single HP attack that led to a Burst which would do more than enough to kill me?

In DotA, you counter backdooring with TP scrolls. Only problem is, backdooring can make or break your push. You're all 5 heroes on the enemy mid lane, you're raxing them, ah but there's a freaking Clinkz at top lane breaking you in and he's already gotten to your throne's first tower. It's annoying, I find it pissing, am I supposed to deal with it?

The Dissidia community has varying views and hasn't grown enough to talk about EX bursts and EX counters yet, but the DotA community has been there for a long time. Even now, after checking so many times, I can't tell if backdooring is allowed or not. In the general public community, it's frowned upon. No one likes it, no one wants to deal with it, no one uses it. A few weeks ago Dornel was arguing with me, saying that he plays to win, he doesn't give a shit if the act is frowned upon or not.

After reading that goddamn article, I now have second thoughts about what you can call my Gamer's 'Code of Honour'.

Fuck.

Drama

Just cause my little brother got 217 in PSLE, theres a shit load of drama at my house and I'm getting pulled into the bullshit. Parents trying to decide whether to appeal for Independent or not, and whether or not it will affect Barker's acceptance of my brother.

Damn pissing, when I said Barker has more gangsters and ah bengs than Independent (which you cannot deny is true), my dad said that it doesn't matter cause there are gangsters in our house, which is basically saying I'm a gangster.

What the hell?

My dad needs to redefine gangster in his vocabulary.

Anime Festival Asia '09

I woke up around 7:30 in the morning that day, got dressed and got to Dover MRT right on time at the designated meeting time, which was 8 or 8:30. I can't remember clearly anymore. Saw Thomas, then waited for Samuel for 30 minutes and we got to City Hall by about 9. Met up with Randall and 2 of his friends from Barker, then lined up for tickets until like 10. We went in and walked around, there wasn't much interesting except for a friggin Ichinose Kotomi figure that was priced at $80. I wanted to buy it, but was afraid I'd find something more appealing to me that would be out of my price range after I bought it, so I left it there.

Little did I know that I would come back to have a OHMYGODWHERETHEFUCKDIDITGO expression on my face about 4 hours later that day.

There wasn't really much to see, no incredibly impressive booths but the atmosphere was wild. It was incredibly crowded, probably because it recieved a lot of internet hype and advertisments and all that. Probably the only convention where foreigners come from overseas just to visit and walk around the convention. E.g. not guests that were invited.

Noisy, pushy, lots of free stuff. All of us got this huge plastic bag, and after walking around for awhile (I split up from the group a multitude of times), me, Jon Wei and Thomas went to line up at the KKnM line that lasted about 3 blocks of stores. With each block of store being about a 30 minutes wait, we stood in that line for 1 and a half hours. I nearly started crying because I'd been standing for the whole day already, and it was 11 when we started queueing. My gosh my back ached like all hell for some reason. In the end all I bought at KKnM was a Shana A4 folder. But I was happy with that.

After that went to eat lunch with Jon Wei and Thomas at the food court in a different tower. A cheaper, less crowded one. I bought overpriced chicken rice that Jon Wei thought was cute because my rice came in a pyramid shape.

Then everyone left, and it was just me and Samuel. I bought a Tsukimiya Ayu figure from the shop that had the Kotomi figure (I snatched the Ayu figure, deciding that I wouldn't be regretting anything else that day).

About 2 hours later after wandering with Samuel for damn long, I found out my Ayu had her leg broken off. Went back to the shop and asked if I could get a refund or a replacement, they told me there was no warranty at the marketplace but they told me how to fix it.

Anyway, went on to Anisong later that night. I love fucking concerts, YES. The singers sure do sing different in LIVE! compared to Studio recorded songs. Nakagawa Shoko has a much higher pitch in real life, and she screams a lot.

"YEAH! YEAH! YEAH! I, ah.. RABU SINGAPORREEE! I RABU ALL OF YOU!"

Wow, but that was lovely concert. I loved Miku's performance, I saved my glow stick for that glorious 10 minutes. Too bad, it was only 10 minutes. She performed World is Mine, Miku Miku ni Shite Ageru and one other song that neither me nor Samuel could remember. Their all Project Diva songs though.

I stood for almost 1hr 10mins before my legs finally gave up on me (about 3 songs into Aniki's performance). I sat for the rest of the concert except for the final 2 songs, and the Shoko + Aniki 1st time together song.

A $100 well-spent in my opinion.

LOOT OF THE CONVENTION:
- Anisong Ticket
- Anisong Pass
- IDOLM@STER Fan

- Shakugan no Shana A4 File
- Tsukimiya Ayu 1/8 PVC Figure
- Nakano Azusa Keychain

Considering

I'm wonder if I should go for Makino Yui's concert at EOY. It's a massive $49 at cheapest, which is essentially all the money I'll be getting. I like her music, but if I go for it, it means two things. One, I'll be going home super fucking late again. Second, I won't even be able to buy the super cheap bargain deals like the $25 Max Factory Suzumiya Haruhi figure. I'll end up shooting myself if something like that appears again.

Hard to choose, hard to choose.

AFA post will hopefully be the next one.

Bah, humbug.

'Bout a month too early to be saying that. I love Christmas though.

Anyway, went out with the others today, met up at Lido, watched 2012 which is a okay movie, and then ate at Takashimaya's food court. Went to Singapore Polytechnic since Benson told me that they had a bowling alley there, but apparently you need to be a member or have booking to bowl there. Oh well. Went to Zong's house, MW2 for about 1hr30 and then went home. Not much to say about today, actually. Was pretty stone once we went to Zong's house, and since I already played MW2 all day yesterday I just let other people play. Not that I wanted to anyway.

Happy feeling about the A Math exam, I have this good feeling I passed and the exam as a whole wasn't that hard. I managed to prove the identitiy, even though when I first looked at the question I was like 'Ah fuck, just skip. Looks too hard.' but when I realised I had 30 minutes to do both that identities question as well as the graph, I ended up doing the thing anyway. Surprisingly after throwing shit around, I managed to get it to work and proved the identity. Second part of the question was easy enough. I skipped about 25% of marks worth of questions, but it should be okay. Maybe 55-60% , but I'm not sure of course.

Thank Haruhi that I practiced so long the day before, thanks to all the people who replied to my questions. Merrill, Danyal, Samuel, David, Lucas. Probably wouldn't have understood without your helps.

A Math Re-exam

@Dornel: My cousins a chinese, a lot of people in Malaysia are chinese. Not to mention I find that somewhat insulting to my cousin...

A Math Re-examination on wednesday. I was (and still am) doing Trigo and Binomial since 4pm until now (6:30pm). I have tuition in 30 minutes so I'll just stop for now, but I finally realised the severity of my stupidity. I had almost 7 people explaining to me the exact same question, and only Samuel could teach me 100% how to do the question. Thanks, btw.

Yeah, so tomorrow hopefully my willpower will be strong enough to keep me going for at least 5-6 hours, until I've mastered at least Binomial, Factor/Remainder and Trigo Graphs/Functions. Not much hope for Identities.

I am BACK!

Got back from JB at about 12:15AM this morning. Went to sleep almost straight away after checking subsites.

Went shopping in JB for the first time, went to Holiday Plaza only though. Ignoring the DVDs my mom bought, and the PS2 game my brother bought, I got Mana Khemia for PS2, FFX-2 for PS2 and a new aluminium cover for my PSP. I looked around for a copy of Modern Warfare 2 (Hopefully I'd find one at a cheaper price than in Singapore) but all I found were GameBox (pirated 360) games, Wii games and PS2 games.

I learned that Malaysians are very normal with seeing porn on the streets. I was with my uncle, mother, brother and female cousin when we went into a DVD shop. And then I saw a rack of porn videos (naked pics on front and all) and I just kind of blocked my brother and cousin from going near there, because I'm such a nice person and don't want people to end up fucked up like me. Then, I got bored and walked away. When I came back, I found my cousin staring at the back of one of the porn DVDs (sex scenes), and she just looked at it for awhile and walked away. Wanted to say something but I couldn't. Later on asked my mom about it and she said it was normal for people in JB.

Wedding was fun, spent time with my cousins and overall was a great day. Watched the grilling of the groom (you know, when the bridesmaids are making the groom do stupid shit outside the doors int he morning), and my aunties and uncles all said it was the longest they've ever seen. Made the poor guy do stupid stuff like put his bare feet into a bucket filled with F&N Orange and a big block of ice, climb over the gates (they did most of the grilling outside the actual door, but some of it was outside the gates of the house), imitate some.. something. It lasted a whole hour.

Sat through a boring church service, had some briyani and beef rendang for lunch and thats when I went shopping. Dinner was in a typical restaurant, made me feel like I was in Singapore again.

..Yeah, that's all.
Kind of waiting for Zong to call me up to invite me over to play Spec Ops. By the way, if you aren't (or are going to invite someone else), please tell me so I be a bit less relaxed about not having my PS3 repaired.

Sound

In all the irony, almost none of the people I know actually look at this place anymore. I guess that's what happens when you don't write stuff for the sake of making other people happy.

Well, whatever.

I want the Queen's Blade OST. Looks like there's finally going to be some awesome drama happening in Queen's Blade, and I seriously always get surprised when the words in the ED/OP have some relation to the story and can be used as a drama ending song.

LALALALALA
I really want that Queen's Blade OST.

Hostility

Apparently I have an aura that makes people hate me, and this aura works online mostly. Hell, I didn't even insult a person, didn't kill him or repeatedly rape him or anything since I was sucking that game, and the next game he calls me a noob and says the only reason I'm doing good in the 2nd game is because I have a strong team. Liek, hello? Same team much.

Well, whatever.

Still waiting for To Aru Kagaku no Railgun 06 to be released by Chihiro (why am I even following such a delayed, slow group?), started rewatching CLANNAD and switch my (secondary) main character to Warrior of Light, because he is the sex.

Watching roughly 1 episode of CLANNAD per day, but when I get out of Daycamp I'll start watching 2-3 episodes at least, since I'll have a lot more free time (waking up at 8am and sleeping at 1am everyday tyvm). Also need to work on my list of visual novels and stuff.

Ah.

Looks like I still suck balls at Trigonometric Identities.

Boring

Life is so damn boring now.
Nothing interesting nothing new.

The only thing new today is that I found out I'm playing Natsukage way too slow.

The only interesting thing that happened this whole week, that actually isn't worth blogging but I have nothing else to write, is that Dornel is actually getting serious about trying to beat me apparently. Adding a FAQ writer to his MSN contacts, actually trying to find a way to fight against me online (thus, more regularly), learning a combo which I must admit is a fucking killer.

I wonder what's wrong with those Japanese people and their super late release dates. Kimi no Todoke OP release - NOVEMBER 25th? Why? Hell, I shouldn't be complaining since I don't even pay for the songs, but why would they delay so long. I want it now damn it.

Ah, getting back into the groove of spending time on forums, making grafix and photoshop arting.

Mostly because of nothing better to do.
Ong Siew Buay teaching CL class tomorrow, whoopeee.

Anyone want to volunteer to teach me Trigo Identities?

Thursday, November 5, 2009

Ah.. hah.

Nothing special. Finally a Daycamp day without homework. Been raining a lot recently, so fucking cold. Did all my homework and as far as I know was the only one in the CL class to hand up the homework, I feel so proud of myself. I guess without someone to play with Daycamp is super fucking boring, since there was no Dornel to test my real builds on, I just wandered around school with Choy and Darren all day.

Waiting for the Kimi no Todoke OP/ED. I really like how the anime is turning out, first time in a long while that I actually bothered to watch the preview because I was curious.

I don't really get why the anime describes Sawako as ugly and scary though. In my opinion I'd have more fear looking at the accompanying 'main characters' Yano and Yoshida.

Hrn.

What, homework?

I still have a Chinese letter to do that was my homework. Wondering if I should do it before CL lesson or just go for the 2nd one. Nothing much to say here. Looks like the First Class Hike is really cancelled, since Zong says he'll be too tired to go and Lim Kai hasn't said anything to me about it yet.

My counter went up from 3047 to 3073, so I'm wondering where the 29 people came from.

Ahh.

Thoughts

I'll probably reach 300 posts by the end of the year, then I'll archive this blog and make a new one. 'Otakusaurus' was a whimsical name and it needs to be replaced. Though I'm mysteriously getting some 30+ visits a day which is extraordinary considering the amount of CBox comments I'm getting, e.g. none.

Today is the best fucking day ever. And strangely it's thanks to Marcus Choy. On the way home, his grandpa asked him if he wanted to eat, so we went to Holland V. He brought me to the pastry shop, and upon entering I found out 2 things. First, it's a Japanese Pastry shop - and Japanese pastries are fucking awesome. Secondly, THEY SELL FUCKING MELON BREAD (MERON PAN). Like. FUCK YES. I was literally squealing inside the shop (go ahead and laugh), and people were looking at me like I was retarded. As usual.

But YESSS. I bought two, I ate one just now and I'm bringing the other to school for my breakfast.

Played DotA. Need to brush up on my Techies, it's still very inconsistent.

Another reason why today is so awesome, To Aru Kagaku no Railgun OP/ED are out. As I already know, the OP/ED is awesome, and I'm listening to the OP B-side now, and since it's a fripSide song it's awesome. Going on to the ED B-side soon.

Finished Akane-iro too. I love it, I want the Visual Novel, but it's not translated and I'm not satisfied just by understanding the basic outline of the story and getting in-depth information from reading websites, I shall wait until I either can read Japanese to a decent extent or it gets a english translation.

C'mon MangaGamers! Give me my Akane-iro! I mean, it has Hirano Aya, Kugimiya Rie and Marina Inoue! HOW CAN YOU MISS SUCH A FRIGGIN GEM.

Ahem.

I wonder if my FC-Hike was cancelled.

-Haruhiist

Monday, November 2, 2009

Oh woe is you.

Looks like my First Class hike might get cancelled because of plagiarism. OH WELL! To me, it just means I can back out of this shit with no harm done to me. And I can always do it again next year, with my juniors but whatever, not like that kind of shit has ever mattered to me.

Looks like Kobato is becoming disappointing. I thought it'd get interesting when Kobato met Kohaku but it's just really boring, I couldn't even bear to watch through episode four.

On the other hand, things are looking good with the other anime. I dropped Kampfer and Winter Sonata (didn't like the art or language), and picked up TSB. To Aru, Kobato and Kimi no Todoke OPs and EDs I'm really looking forward to. Especially the To Aru OP/ED and Kimi no Todoke OP.

I also kind of want the Queen's Blade 2 OST and the Kimi no Todoke OST, as well as the Nightmare of Nunnally entire manga series in book form.

Oh wait that's unrelated.

Studycamp is a waste of time apparently, they make us go from 7:30 to 1, so thats 5 and a half hours. 2/5.5 hours I'm in lesson. The other 3.5 hours I'm sitting around the school fooling around, it's a huge waste of time.

Bad thing though, the CL teacher confiscated my sketchbook (I was doodling), and he saw 2 of my girl drawings. I presume he found it indecent, since he took those too and made me write my name and told me he'd show my mom.

All I can say to this is "Lol".

Hope I don't get punished severely for not paying attention, but if they lecture me for having the drawings I don't really know what to say. Imagine if they open my bag and find my Shana file, lol.

-Haruhiist

Kimi no Todoke, Daycamp

Well, strangely enough while I was watching the first half of episode 4 for KnT, I was thinking 'Wow this show seems to be getting boring, their just being happy happy for the past episodes', but it made a complete turnaround with the conflict that has just arisen.

Kimi no Todoke is awesome.

Ah tomorrow (today), I have to go for the first day of Daycamp. The only real problem I have with it is that I have to wake up so damn early to make sure I am not late, since the school bus won't come and fetch me.

Short post..

The Sacred Blacksmith, oh, and Con Camp

Well, I guess I'll start with the easier to relate to topic, Con Camp. Today the people who would be going for Con Camp were announced, and I must say I was pretty damn nervous as Keith Tan went through a bunch of names (He skipped my Reg. No, so I was like OMG REALLY?). Eventually he came to me after going up and down the register list a few times, and slowly he read.

"Nicholas Tan. Your chinese score has been brought up from a 49 to a 50, be thankful. Your A Math average overall is 36, you will be attending daycamp."

OH FUCK YES.

And here I thought the Chem teachers were going to make me go for Con Camp because my overall was below 55%. Or so I believe. It can't be very high anyway.

So I failed A Math and am going for DayCamp.

Yeah.

By the way, is a good anime. Yup. VAs are all familiar if you know your seiyuus.

Intervention

I wonder why so many people want a Code Geass R2, or a continuation of CLANNAD.

Both animes ended on a great note, Code Geass had a super fucking epic ending and CLANNAD left us with great images of Tomoya, Nagisa and Ushio all together as a happy family. So why do people want more?

I guess these people haven't thought yet, what exactly would happen in a new fucking season. It's not like Shakugan no Shana, there's no more original script to follow to create a new anime, and new antagonists can't.. just appear. Especially since in CGR2, Lelouch is dead and in CLANNAD, the orbs of light have already pretty much granted Tomoya and Nagisa eternal happiness.

I don't know why I'm ranting here about this though. Ah right, it's my blog.

-Haruhiist

Code Geass R2

I wonder... if the 'maturity' I believe I have is false. After all, it all comes from anime. Everything of my personality is stemmed from anime, because I watch anime like Code Geass and CLANNAD, I tell myself that I have the right ideals and beliefs, taught to me from various viewpoints from people who have lived some 20 to 30 more years than me. Yet, what if it's all a joke? Merely ideals created for the entertainment of the public. Then my belief that this thing called justice cannot, and will never exist is just another illusion.

Well in any case I'm not here to talk about what goes on in my mind every day. Code Geass R2, a story of idealism, human beliefs and a war waged over what people believe is justice. Of course, the writers just make it so that there is a superhuman power that allows one fallen prince to rise again as the lord of Hell.

Actually I don't know what to say. I can't make a long post like the other Code Geass one, since I'm left with the 'WHAT THE FUCK' of Zero Requiem.

ALL HAIL LELOUCH! is all I have to say, really.
Also, I love the way they made Nunnally cry while the rest of the public chanted Zero.

Shakugan no Shana S

CBOXReply: The dere just is too subtle. And the psycho just hasn't started yet. Also, only me and you are going Anisong, and I don't plan on sitting near anyone I know anyway, for personal reasons.

Just watched Shakugan no Shana S, which is the OVA. Made me laugh more than most of the other SnS episodes, and the art is lovely. Can't wait for the 3rd series.

Hm, results are a bit fucked up. My average is 53.6, and I failed Chem and A Math this term. For overalls, I failed A Math and Chinese. I'll post the results another day if I'm not too lazy.

Right now I'm just .. well, lazy.

Such faggotry!

Well, today was pretty average day, not something I'd generally bother to blog about.
Except for 2 things, one involving faggotry and the other involving Choy. Latter isn't interesting though.

Well, basically, I was called a fag/faggot about 20 times today. Now this is pretty normal for someone like me, but it was all by the same person, and since I stayed in class all day I guess you can guess who it was.

Someones just a biit too obsessed with me.

I guess Merrill's right, except it's totally one-sided and the opposite party is apparently a yandere.

Secondly, Choy's family seems pretty happy. His sister calls him 'kor kor' and they call their parents mommy and daddy. How nice. Seems pretty peaceful, no wonder Choy leads such a happy life.

Just got Chobits and am going to challenge Alexander Lye to a match of DotA.

negative feedback?

Well, I found it mostly fun when it was just me, David, Zong and Thomas (Day 1, before and after Chalet). Maybe 'cause I'm a bit of an attention whore, but yeah..

After that, for the most part it became wholly sianded. With some 7 people in one living room and playing 2-4 player games, 5-3 people get left out with nothing to do. So in the end I ended up playing my PSP giving up my controller to someone (Merrill or Dornel?), and I'm actually fine with that, but apparently other people find it irritating that I'm playing my PSP.

Apparently.

Well it isn't all as bad as I've made it sound so far, I had quite a few good laughs (though they were for the most part on Monday and early Tuesday), had some fun, learned some things (ThaiExpress doesn't totally blow balls for instance), and overall spent a great deal of time with friends.

As Dornel just told me (in the past 5 minutes), I missed out on all the fun that happened after I left. Just to respond to that, if you didn't notice I wasn't having fun while you guys were anyway. My fault, since I didn't want to take out my tablet (I did tell Zong the day before that I would be going after lunch), but just saying that it probably wouldn't have made a big difference for me anyway.

Heck, at least I got to watch 2 episodes of CLANNAD since Bristan was watching it.

Inspiration

So. Me, Jon Wei, Thomas and Merrill just took down a clan in a 4v5 match with us being on the 4.
I feel fucking awesome, that we were able to do it.

Props to Thomas for raping the early game, Merrill for being a fat mofo chaser, JW for his ultis and better than normal play and me for my double infernals.

Matchup was sth like

Me - Warlock
JW - Tidehunter
Thomas - Slayer
Merrill - Bounty

VS

Rikimaru, Huskar, Furion, Tiny, Ursa

Did I mention they were a clan?
FUCK YEAH.

Code Geass

I seem to remember making a post about this anime.
I just watched a really long movie. From episode 16, to episode 25.
It wasn't continuous, but it makes up what I was doing for most of today.
Thats 10 episodes, each about 22 minutes.
220 minutes.
Roughly 4 hours, in seperate parts of 1hr40 and 2hr20.

Well, that doesn't matter.

Code Geass is supermegafucking epic.
I just got the OST for S1 and am now obsessed with Masquerade.
Can't remember the name of the other song though.

I watched this last year in October, early October.
When I look at the post I made about it then, it was clear I still had the mindset of a little kid.
'Oh, lol, sweet robots epic fighting and that pewpew! This anime is fucking awesome!'

When rewatching anime, you do it, most likely, for nostalgia.
But when I rewatched Toradora and Code Geass, I realised that instead of those nostalgic feelings,
You tend to understand the story better.
Sure, Code Geass had shiny robots shooting the fuck out of each other with crazy animation quality.
But was that it?
Shiny robots with pink glitter pewpew makes Code Geass what it is?
A highly acclaimed anime.

Nah.
My second time through season 1, I got it.
As far as I can tell, I got all the emotions and feeling conveyed in each episode.
Despair, hope, anguish, suffering, the shit that can come from human hate.

I'm still a kid though.
I can expect some of you after reading the above 'paragraph' to start laughing at me.
Oh well.

Code Geass rises the ranks.

Animation - 9/10 (some parts where you can see the frame skips)

Sound - 7.5/10 (because Masquerade is so fucking awesome)

Story - 10/10 ('nuff said)

I probably missed a category or three.
I'm thinking of waiting until tomorrow for R2, but chances are I'll watch a few episodes today.
Ah, humans are so weak.

Today.
End of exams.
I'm going con camp FOR SURE.
Or possibly just day camp if I passed chinese and got 55% for finals.

Today.
Went out with friends.
Was a waste of time for most of after LAN.
At least the LAN was sort of fun despite the teams being unfair for L4D, as usual.

Today.
Watched Code Geass epi 9-11.
I'll probably continue it later on, maybe until 15.
I won't sleep well tonight.

I have Geography Core tomorrow but I haven't studied. Hell, I've studied more for my CL2 paper than Geog Core, so I guess tomorrow instead of going with Darren with the knowledge that they'll end up joking around, I guess I'll go emo in some corner and mug a bit before the exam.

Recently been planning on re-watching some anime, I just got Code Geass Season 1 and will download R2 over tonight and possibly tomorrow if seeds are low.

My plans for the after exam are pretty much set. Play Planetarian, rewatch Code Geass, and I have some motivation to rewatch the Kyou Another World DVD Bonus for CLANNAD tomorrow.

Bakemonogatari

I'm too fucking lazy to put up some pretty pictures of Senjougahara, Nadeshiko and Koyomi exploding in a violent cloud of blood, so I'll just do the typical MAN THIS ANIME IS SO FUCKING AWESOME thing. Right up from the OP, staple stable, to the ED, Kimi no Shiranai Monogatari (The story you don't know), I've loved every bit. Though, for the most part the only reason I bothered to watch it was because when I was transferring Toradora! into Pheng Hwee's external, I decided to just take a look at episode one and found the art style pretty sweet. Not to mention the random colour splashes remind me of Maria+Holic, though I haven't checked whether they were produced by the same person yet.

And the fact that the ED was done by supercell also contributes to me watching it. It only caught my attention in the first place because supercell is the group that used Miku to make several super-awesome Miku songs, like Koi wa Sensou and Black Rock Shooter if I'm not wrong.

By the way, right now I'm listening to purely the audio from episode 12.

Basically, Bakemonogatari is not what you'd expect after you watch the scenes in the first episode. Hell, they show some exploding blood face and some really random stuff, but I think that's from Koyomi Vampire, which is, as far as I can guess, episodes 14-15, episode 15 or an OVA that they'll give out with the Blu-Rays or something. The only other really bloody scenes would be in the 3rd arc, the one with the monkey.

Though, everything I've said up to now probably comes to a screeching halt of "YOU FUCKING LIAR" when I write out a clump of the last few words in episode 12 - the only one where you actually see Koyomi and Senjougahara being serious about their relationship.

"Araragi-kun, do you love me?"
"Yes, I do."
"I love you too, Araragi-kun."
"Thanks."
"What do you love about me?"
"Everything. There's nothing about you I don't love."
"I see. I'm happy."
"What do you love about me?"
"You're kind. You're cute. You're like a prince who would rescue me whenever I'm in trouble."
"I'm happy."

"So, Araragi-kun. Kiss me. ..No, that's wrong. That's not how it goes. Shall... shall we kiss?
H-How.. How about we kiss?
Let's kiss, Araragi-kun."
"So, in the end, you're that calm."

That's how this became a day to remember.
For both of us.

I'd totally copy out the entire lyrics of the ED but that would take me about 10 minutes or so of simply typing while clicking VLC media player and then Firefox. Hence, I will leave you people who actually give a shit about my recommendations with this.

If you're looking for NARUTO-type anime, e.g. :
- Lots of fighting
- A storyline that seems to be 'just going with the flow'
- Blood and lots of fighting
- Less talk and more fighting

You should NOT watch Bakemonogatari.

If you are looking for:
- A not hard to understand storyline that's pretty decent
- One fighting arc, which is mostly just watching the main character get slung around by his intestines
- A LOT of talking
- Humorous conversations between main character and others
- WTF PLOTWIST near the end of Mayoi Snail

Then you SHOULD watch Bakemonogatari.

So, really, I'm recommending this to everyone except maybe Danyal, Thomas, and the non-anime lovers. Then again, I tend to only end up recommending things solely to Bristan for the fact that whatever I watch will end up being insulted by either Merrill or Dornel.

UGH.

Waiting for Episode 13 to be webcast on 28th October, COME ON ggFansubs, SUB IT. Also waiting for whatsthatgroup to sub the clean version of Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu 2.

Today's..
Today's October 11th!
Hmm.. that reminds me of something..
Something different from the other 364 days of the year.
Eh.
I can't remember what it is.

..Ah fuck it.

Since I'm not good with words, or money.
I might as well have done this.

250th Post!

BENCHMARK!

To Aru Kagaku no Choudenjibou is turning out to be more of a social-talking bonding relationships anime than a fighting killah anime like Majutsu no Index. Episode 2 was about relationships between Kuroko and Misaka. So I guess it's less kick for people like Dornel, but hey I love it. Episode 2 was pretty damn funny too.

Kimi no Todoke, love story. Sadako, Sawako, Kazehaya. Oooh. Win, though I really hate the lips. Eegh.

Looks like my picks for this season have been pretty successful so far, of course I'm assuming Asura Cryin 2 is great and Nogizaka Haruka 2 will be okay.

So that makes:

Kimi no Todoke, Kobato, To Aru Kagaku no Choudenjibou, Asura Cryin 2, Nogizaka Haruka 2

with

Heaven's Lost Property, Winter Sonata, Sasameki Koto and Kampfer on my 'worth a look' list.

HAPPY 250th POST! AHAHAHA!

Kobato & To Aru Kagaku no Choudenjibou

Both animes are great.

Kobato's first episode leaves a good impression of a fun anime that will be entertaining and light-hearted, not to mention it'll probably leave behind some great insert, OP and ED songs.

TAKnC seems like the first season, except the OP and ED are nicer this time around. Of course I only heard like 10 seconds of the OP, which is the chorus, but it sounds pretty nice.

I'm loving this season so far.

BUT WHERES MY ASURA CRYIN 2?

..fuck, exams.

Crisis Core Ending

"Promise me one thing. Live. You are proof that I existed."

Just watched the Crisis Core ending with Japanese original voiceover. A lot nicer than the english dub in my opinion, though the dub is still acceptable. I really wish Crisis Core was made in the style of FF7 itself. Sure it wouldn't appeal to the younger people, but like I give a fuck. Look at people like Ethan who just play Crisis Core because they get to roll around and swing a sword, they probably couldn't give two shits about the story.

Also; I think the song at the end is okay. Don't know why youtube people call it a shitty J-Pop song. It may not go well on a normal playlist but it fits the ending scene nicely.

But that's just my honest opinion.

..Oh right, exams.

Hah

Would you rather have me angry and pissed off, but with you?
Or would you rather me be calm but no where near?

@Zong: I already have detailed notes from the teacher, but it's freaking thick and chances are if I'm reading it before the exams I won't even learn anything because I'll be swimming through things that are common sense (My teacher put in an entire page on how to get Percentage Mass, which is basically the amount of mass of the element over total mass of the molecule x 100%).

My notes are designed by myself just to tell me what I think I won't remember. I'll bring the thick notes in case, but my set is just for the quick skim before the exams. The 1 hr quick skim.

Chemistry is gay

I really hate Chemistry. And A Math. Note that both are combinations of math, application AND memory. What the fuck, worse subjects ever.

Made a youtube channel solely to exhibit my Dissidia videos (I used them to ask GameFAQs people whether or not my Shantotto was good). I don't think anyone is interested in watching Dissidia videos so I won't bother, but you can ask me if you want to see.

Remade my list of Fall Anime to watch.

Currently making VERY compact notes (very bare essentials) for Chemistry, e.g. for mole concept I'm just putting the 3 triangles, percentage purity and that's all. Things like mass percentage are things I don't need to write down. Hopefully can fit it all on one sheet of paper. Though I don't think I'll go past 3 sides of paper (1 and a half sheets of paper).

Will study a bit of SS on Monday and hardcore it on Tuesday. Wednesday will lax a bit and study a bit of Bio and History since Thursday I only have Eng 2 exam. Friday will be Bio and Hist Elect.

Strangely, the thing I'm the most scared of is having to sit in the exam hall for 2 and a half hours for the Bio exam. Like, wtf?

Studying methods?

Wow, I got 6 people visiting a day, rather than the 15~30 I used to have. Or maybe that was just a 'random people decided to read random blogs' period. Anyway, I'm here today to discuss about studying methods, mostly because when Darren's dad was like "You can go sit at the bus stop and play with Dornel", it felt like he meant 'You gaming-obsessed-not-studying-person, gtfo of my car'.

Most of this will sound like bullshit to you guys because I'm the most hardcore faggot of all of us, and the least likely to actually give up my gaming to study. For the most part you're right.

A lot of parents/children think that locking away your computer and games and studying 24/7 is the right way to go for a distinction. In my honest opinion, that's fucking retarded. Sure, you're reading and revising all the time, which is bound to result in knowing more stuff. But the stress will build up on you so hard, you'll just break and fall. I've seen this happen to my cousin who gets straight As in normal exams and around the 80~90 range in Primary school. But when it came to PSLE his dad didn't let him use the computer, play games or even go out to just play sports (he's a badminton player).

In the end, he only got 216 for PSLE from the crushing stress.

So, my method is just to lax a lot, but study a decent amount. Yes, most of you are going 'Sheep, you don't study'. Well, yes.

Do as I say, not as I do.

:D

reminescence

I just got my new Seagate 620gb external today, so I was transferring stuff from my old external (which was virus'd, but my mom's IT support people salvaged 100gb out of 130gb of the stuff, thankfully most of the anime is intact) and came across Shakugan no Shana. I was bored enough so I went to watch the Akai Namida scene, the ending of Season 1 and a short part of the last episode of season 2. Then I came across CLANNAD, and decided to watch Fuuko's ending.

So now I remembered why I love CLANNAD so much. I also watched the episode in Afterstory where Tomoya screws up and he misses out on a planned date with Nagisa to fix his screwup at the work site, following which Nagisa has a 'super-understanding-awesome-wife-that-everyone-wants' moment.

MMMMMM NAAAGIIISAAAA, FUUUKOOOOOO!!!1111!1one-eleventy!1!
ore wa kuranado no DAAAISUKI. (i bet I screwed that up somewhere)

CANAAN and Princess Lover

fuutsu no onnanoko no monogatari
the story of an ordinary girl

-CANAAN-

Project 428. CANAAN. An anime originally introduced to me as an anime with 'girls with guns'. An anime I finish watching as 'anime of this year'. Of course I'm only talking about the animes produced this year. Yes, as biased as I am towards Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu Season 2, CANAAN wins the spot. At least, before October. New animes starting in October, not to mention I haven't watched Bakemonogatari.

Maria Ozawa (This, for whatever reason, is also the name of a pornstar), an ordinary girl visiting Shanghai on her first photography project. The basis of the story and Canaan's light.

Mino-san, Maria's mentor that goes with her. He gets caught up in all this, and serves a role towards the end.

Alphard, a terrorist from 'Hebi'. Antagonist.

Canaan. An 'ordinary girl' as described my Maria. She has the ability to convert her senses into other senses. Her touch into smell, her smell into sight, her sight into hearing. She is the protagonist, the main character.

I just watched the final episode yesterday, but it was pretty late. I'm listening to it again. It's not a bawling crying story, but it certainly has a few lessons it can teach you. Ultimately a well-produced anime with a great story by my standards. Has blood if you're wondering. The ultimatum is awesome but be warned, the ending is a cliff hanger.

----
a boy caught him in fate
from a middle-class life, to the riches, yet he isn't happy.
PRINCESS LOVER

Basically, I talked about this awhile ago. I said it was a good anime but in my opinion the last episode was pretty lackluster. Instead of a great fighting scene with a gun versus a sword, it's just a lot of SUPAH-INSPIRING WURDS and the swordwielder blowing the gun straight out of the hand. I'm not using names so I don't spoil, even though I highly doubt anyone will watch this.

Ending scene with the dancing was awesome with the camera angles and 3D feel, though I wonder what the crowd is thinking. That kid just danced with 5 girls in a row, what a playboy!

Worth a watch. Good anime and not huge (13 episodes) but not a MUST WATCH.

Grand Slam

Studied Bio for a grand total of like, 1hr 30 mins.
In that 1hr 30 mins I have recalled everything I know from the last 3 exams, so I figure I'm okay. Especially chapter 2, I have that shit burned into my mind.
Don't know why.
Tomorrow is free mug day, since my 2nd day of exams is only Eng 2. I'm going to bring home A Math and History shit to study. Hell, I don't even bring my History shit to school, so yeah. Hm.

what you do and what you say, tends to come back to whack you in the ass

Hm

If any of you are wondering, this is the figure I ordered. It costs a whopping $120 (This is where you all call me a money-wasting Otakufag, or have things finally changed in my favour?), and is my second PVC non-figma figure ever. The first one being the Suzumiya Haruhi one. It should be roughly 17cm, which is a little longer than the shortest plastic ruler.

It's on pre-order and I'll get it probably late-December but I'm hoping for an early release. This of course leaves me with $80 that I doubt my mother will give to me, but I'm hoping she does anyway. Looking at the Kagami figma (even though I don't really want anymore figmas) and the Mio swimsuit PVC figure, which is surprisingly cheap for what it is ($70~$80?). Brandless though.

Mugging season has started, looks like I'll be having solo DotA nights from now until 16 October. If anyone still wants to play though, to de-stress or slack with me, you can find me at otakugfx@hotmail.com.

Yeah.

Finally winning. Need to do the Drama Jacket, even though it's a pretty simple design (only 2 colours? It'll be so simple Danyal can probably do it himself, but yeah).

DotA 6.63, Finals

Recently noticed a severe drop in our teams performance. EVERYONE is sucking now, the only times when we win is when the enemy team is pathetic, or has at least 2 major losers and a leaver. For example, the last game today. TC and the Juggernaut were pathetic. They didn't speak, TC got destroyed by a Magnus in seconds, and even I had more armor/hp than him. Jugg just died, I didn't see him do anything other than omnislashing creeps.

Thomas - Refuses to do what his hero is meant to do, e.g. farming with Tinker instead of killing.

Merrill - Performance depends on hero. Not serious enough, or gets screwed a lot.

Jon Wei - Generally does below average, has very wide gap between good and bad games.

Dornel - Generally below average. Best he's ever done is only 'decently'. Makes bad choices often.

And finally there's me. I personally considered myself the best of the team back then, with Thomas being the only one who can actually match up. Now I'm near the bottom, either above or below the Jon Wei/Merrill/Dornel standards. Ever since about a week ago, my ability to juke (dodge/escape by running around or through trees, up hills etc., basically advanced escapism) has completely vanished. My mouse movement is erratic, and I often miss my spells and can't last hit. I make a lot of typos leading to misunderstandings and frustration, not to mention I do badly in general and my overall play has really fucked up.

I hope that it's really as Merrill says - a 'phase'.

Anyway.

Finals coming soon, 6-16 Oct. Everyone is seriously studying already, except for me. I assume that during those times Dornel doesn't reply, he's studying or something. I should start soon, if I'm serious about not getting into the Con Camp side of Express.

And I want to go to PLSC.
Heh.
Waiting for my super-expensive Taiga figure that's being released in December.

Chemistry SPA

I fucked up because of carelessness.
Koh Siew Lay has a look that scares the shit out of me in a almost completely silent environment.
Hence, I put the C1V1/C2V2 = n/n formula as C1V2/C2V1 = n/n.

Fuck.

And that was the first step I did in Calculation.
I'm FUCKED.

Well honestly I don't care that much. What's done is done, no use being pissed off over something like that, I can't change it after all.

UNLESS there was an impurity in the solutions they prepared.
THENFUCKYES.

My first bout

Just now was playing DotA (solo) and was losing very badly. Pretty much irritated since I came home, as I found out I lost my EZ Link card. Combined with the loss of my entire stationary set (MY FUCKING $11 STAPLER) and calculator, this led to /RAAAGE/. So my dad walks in and is talking on the phone while asking for my height and weight.

I find it odd, so I shout at him. He shouts back. Later on he goes out, and comes back in and then tells me to get off or he'll get me off for.. me. So I frustratedly shove myself away from the table (wheelychair) and look at him with what Dornel describes as the 'Sheep face'.

Then we proceed to argue. At the end he tells me that he'll never trust me again. (I raised some issue about him refusing to tell me why he needed my height and weight).

Played another game and won (even though I sucked, 12-10 Bloodseeker), and watched an amusing episode of Princess Lover, and then went out there.

And said my first sincere apology.

In a long, long fucking time.

Matter is settled now. Going to mug Chemistry Titration.

As school begins

Set targets for my anime-watching for the December holidays. It's always nice to have something to look forward to.

ANIME TO REWATCH:
- Kannagi
- CLANNAD + Afterstory
- Kanon
- AIR
- Toradora!
- Gurren Lagann
- Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu + S2

VISUAL NOVELS TO PLAY:
- Planetarian
- Kanon
- CLANNAD
- Katawa Shoujo
- Fate/Stay Night

---

Have to start my holiday homework rush now. Not that much, really. Doing my English and Bio tonight, copy A Math tomorrow, do History eventually.

Got a handout today that said that Study Camp for 1 subject is optional, and Con. Camp for 2 subjects is compulsory. I'm assuming that what Mr. Keith Tan said is not actually true, and those with a clean disciplinary record (Like me, no CWO or Demerits ever, not even warnings) should be allowed to go to Con. Camp at minimum.

Right now I'm calculating the marks I need to pass or get A1 for each subject and setting my targets. Their all actually quite low, my Chemistry requirement is only something like 50~60 because of my Term 1 and Term 2, while my Biology needs a massive 81 to get an A1. A Math requires a 55 to get pass which in my opinion is achievable.

Binomial Theorem looks like shit though.

Things about me today

Things I've learned:
- I can draw front-view big breasts.

- I'm an ass- no wait, I knew that long ago.

- I can be an idiot to one person and be my normal cynical self to another person at the same time.

- Hatsukoi Limited is a good anime, no matter how stupid I thought it would be.

- Good friends don't have to have the same generic personality that involves comforting when you want it, or being nice 'just because we're friends'.

Then again for that last one, I'm just assuming I'm a good friend, or at least not a bad one. Ultimately up to others to decide...

Best Troll Ever : 19-0

Click if you are not afraid of the sheer pwnage

Went 19-0 Troll. Got HoD at 6 mins and went jungle, with a few sidetrips to kill Lycan, got all 3 Aegis and when I came out I was unstoppable. Thank Haruhi for my Satanic, 150% lifesteal for that troll is equivalent to 3hits-heal to full health.

Was so epic, I took a screenshot and saved replay.
Going in my 'Egoboosters' folder.
Wow I sound pathetic.

Nothing much. Set up a study schedule for this week. Have followed today's to a very decent amount I must say (1/2 of the 2 hours I was supposed to study).

Fine. I suck.

something cheesy and generic like 'as the river of time flows'

Just came back from Scouts camp. Had a bit of chicken rice which my mom bought for me, and then went to sleep. Slept about 7 hours and woke up at 10. Ate a sandwich and watched 3 episodes of Spice and Wolf II, which is really good although the ending of the Amarti arc was really abrupt. STC was okay, very messy and slacky, but yeah. And we Food I/C's got forgotten about at the end. Jun Meng told us to wait in the class while he sent people up to help us, so we waited and fell asleep and slept for 2 hours straight. When I woke up, Zong and Thomas were still sleeping and I went down to the Scouts den, and found out everyone but a few people had already left, and that we had been sleeping all this time.

Woke up Zong and Thomas and told them to go home, and went home myself.

I wonder, if I hadn't woken up, how long would we have stayed in school.

Really tired now. Eyes sort of hurt and my body is stiff. Sleeping 2 hours in a chair isn't very good, I suppose.

Wednesday have 5 hours Chemistry Remedial as well as a 1 hour lunch break, lasts from 9:30 to 3:30. I think Randall is coming over on Tuesday. Tuition on Monday at 7:15 PM. I do wonder when all of us will go out together, I hope we go out at least once this holiday, even if it's just something like going to Zong's house. Easy and convenient after all.

at the moment in time

Teacher's day today. Quite epic. Pulled me away from my PSP, which I was playing while waiting for something interesting to happen. Too bad I'm so short, I couldn't see anything worth seeing, especially the Dancevenia girls.

Going out tomorrow, going to wait in the SAC for the guys lecture to end and go with them for lunch.

Repositioned my Miku figure.

Hatsune Miku no Shoushitsu

credits to original maker of video(?)

A song that probably made several hundreds of VOCALOID fans re-install VOCALOID2

After Im born I finally realize
I exist to imitate humans
VOCALOID fated to sing forever
even if a song has already existed
a programmed toy accepts it just fine
gnawing on a leek, looking up at the sky
shedding tears noticing
that even all that is fading
the whole character
depending on singing
with an unreliable basis
the place I came from already destroyed
when everyone forgets me
Ill have no heart
or such thing left in me
Vocaloid at the verge of insanity
whose world has ended

I wish that at the time when
I cant sing well
youd be with me
stay by my side and cheer me up

I want to see your happy face
Ive been practicing singing, so

once singing
was so much fun
but now why
Im not feeling anything anymore

==forgive me==

when I remember faces
of people that Ive missed
I can relax just a little
the sounds Im able to sing
get fewer every day
the end is drawing near

what I believed in,
comfortable fantasy
repeating again and again
reflected in a mirror
give up singing
shout in a violent manner
(my farewell song at
the highest speed)

the virtual image that is
meaning of life
cant be shaken away
the fear of a weak heart vanishing
or breakdown from eroding
just created, I dont have the
strength of will to prevent it all
your sad suffering
expression comes to mind
I declare its the end
fall asleep inside the monitor
this must be the trash bin huh
all memory being deleted
right away, can you grasp it?
but you know, only you I wont forget
we had fun times
can you still remember
the taste of chopped leek

I want to sing
I still want to sing

I became somewhat of a
bad child, it seems

Master, please end it all
somehow with your hand

because I do not want
to see you suffer anymore

Now singing is just
making my body rot away
I ask for a miracle
but I just drive myself
into a dead-end

==forgive me==

I try to remember faces
of people Ive missed
but those memories
are fading away
you hear me break
my heart is vanishing
the death
is drawing near

I was trying to protect
the fading light
that presented an illusion
of a better future
the sound is sacrificed
so I can communicate
it all to you
(compressed farewell song)

After Im born I finally realize
I exist to imitate humans
VOCALOID fated
to sing forever
even if a song has already existed
a programmed toy
accepts it just fine
gnawing on a leek
looking up at the sky shedding tears
I declare its the end
fall asleep inside the monitor
this must be the trash bin huh
all memory being deleted
right away, can you grasp it?
but you know, its only you
that I wont forget
we had fun times
I wish that the taste
of chopped leek would still stay
Im singing to the end, just for you
songs that I want you to hear
Id want to sing more
but thats too much to wish for
this is where we part
all my feelings disappear into thin air
reducing to 0s and 1s
the fairy tale, curtain is falling
isnt it a little sad that
nothing can stay there?
everything except the memories of a voice
is fading, leaving ony a name
but if, say. I know that
it is not what He wished for
singing it all to the end
was not in vain is what I want to think

thank you and goodbye

an irreversible error
has occured
an irreversible error

Koi wa Sensou

Awesome song about betrayed love (?), sung by Hatsune Miku.
Link

Tomorrow is Honour's Day. Getting merit for Drama. Parents coming. Going scouts after that. Hope to get home by 4. Outing next tuesday.

Keith Tan is like Lelouch. He totally planned this fucking epic revelation for E Math. He did practice questions with us, but it's actually wrong answer. And he played dumb while we did question 11, going like "I don't know? Is it right or is it wrong?". Me and Benson (sitting in front, both of us at teachers desk there) both pointed out a few mistakes but he just told us to 'Shhh'. Then at the end, me and Benson were talking about question 10, and I was like "Yeah the answer is wrong, probably going to be epic."

Then Keith Tan looks up.
He smirks.
"I didn't say anything about question 10~"
In a playful tone.

He makes E Math EPIC.

Also; can tell he really enjoys teaching when everyones trying to guess and point out mistakes. He has this really bright smirk on his face, it makes me want to try harder for E Math.

An Erratic Inspiring Orgasmic Unrevelation

My bio got 56/100. Which is okay considering, despite my attempts to study, I ended up falling asleep repeatedly. History and A Math probably getting tomorrow.

Maining Invoker and Tech on DotA, or so I will try. Not counting Storm since he's my backup assrape hero.

Yeah.

Lately

Haven't gotten back any new results yet. But A Math looks like either a borderline fail or a 44~49 there. But we've only gone through 3/6 questions, so my hopes up for a pass.

Today was Track&Field, which is all that's worth talking about (at least, up until 6pm). Basically hung out with Zong (with cameos from Dornel occasionally) for like the whole damn day. Ran out of things to say around 5 there, then rest of the time was normal comments like "Oh look, its Ferdie (Ferdi, Ferdy, Feardy)" and "Oh, the year 5s team won?".

Came home, took a bit of a rest then turned on computer after a shower. Checked torrents, reorganized my music files then played DotA. 1st game was okay, Techies, but Randall dc'd then someone else dc'd then we remade. Waited for Dornel after game end for about 20 mins there, during which Randall and Dornel were chatting about like, Bleach or some shit, followed by me asking him if he even updated yet, and he said no. So we just continued on. Me, Randall, Jerald and Jingsen played one game, I was just okay in that one. Can't really remember what I played though. 2nd one, Dornel and Thomas joined in. Thomas our team, Dornel opposite. Dornel purposely hunted me or something, kept coming to my lane and bullying me (I was Techies, so I couldn't do much at all). That game was awfully unsatisfactory, lost in the end.

Was too unhappy so I went to play one more, my hero was Invoker (was a -rdsp game). At game end (we won in 38 mins), my k/d/a was 6-7-8. Asked the team how good I was from 1-10 and I got rated a 7. Not bad, my Invoker used to be so bad I'd rate it a 3.

Yeah. Probably getting History, Bio or A Math tomorrow.
Hope I didn't fail anything. Probably didn't fail history.

E Math - 62.5% (According to Dornel, not confirmed)

Chemistry - 32.5%

Current Average: 56.6%

Keith Tan dropped the A-bomb on us just now. Told us that because of our bad reputations, and already having 2 deans visiting us just this year, our class people not being given a chance for Con Camp. Instead, if we fail, we either repeat year 3 in 2010 or we leave the school.

Now I know I'm going to need to hardcore Term 4.

Expectations for recently done papers:
History: C5~B3 : 56 ~ 69

History past

Got 18/25 for Social Studies, which translates to 72%.
Sadly, this 72% could very well have been 84%, but I got the statistics wrong for the ratio of Sinhalese to Tamils, and so my L5/13 got marked down to a L3/10. Ridiculous. This means Dornel beats me by 1 mark/4%. Likely to beat me in Chemistry also. And History.

Really screwed this term.

Sigh.

Double sigh.

Can't wait for E Math results. Dornel failed last term so I actually have a chance there. Going to go do E Math homework now, after spending nearly 2 hours on the Scout shirt design. Finally finished, went with vector vines and a simple back-half.

Story of my life

Toy and Games Convention 2009

Went just now. Left at 9:40, reached home around 3:50~4. Didn't spend much more than $13 in total, not counting travel expenses. As for what the $13 encompasses, I bought a file for $3.50 that has Shana, Yoshida and Hecate on it, as well as a random blue-haired girl on the other side. Planning to use it for school and dumbfound all the teachers. I ate at Astons with Randall, bought a Crispy Fried Fish with Mashed Potatoes and Fries. Gave half my fries and about a quarter of my fish to Randall. Food was okay, but potatoes were horrible. It's like they put gravy-fied Mushroom Soup for my gravy, and my fries had chilli powder which was okay because it wasn't so strong, but I would've preferred them plain or salted. Fish had a weird taste. The meal cost me $7, since Randall paid for my last 20 cents.

So I guess I spent $10.50 in total. A new record for the conventions I've been to so far.

Was fun, but I guess it wasn't as awesome as I thought it would be, because it was a Toys and Games convention, not an anime/cosplay convention. Well, at least I got the awesome Shana file. Most exciting part was when me and Randall went up on the stage to play Guitar Hero Smash Hits (after waiting 15~25 minutes because of Randall's indecisiveness). We were up on a platform, in front of about 100 people. We had this small Malay kid in front of us doing vocals (I took the guitar from him) and a person around our age (+/- 2 years) doing drums. I was lead guitar and Randall playing bass. I think I was one of three or four people who played expert so far, and a lot of people were taking photos of me (or it looks like that because it's pointed right at me, maybe it was the screen or the drummer since I was so close to them). Played some Rage against the Machine song. The band failed because the drummer couldn't do some intense drumroll, and since the little Malay kid wanted the guitar back, I jumped off the stage and Randall soon followed. Then I came hom.

Eventful.
Still waiting for Dissidia (25 Aug)
