Trials and Tribulations

Well, recently I've been focusing on doing the other blog so I haven't really paid attention to my own dear blog. Quite a bit has happened this week, especially with all the stress and tensions building up, and I'm going to recap only 3 or 4 interesting events.

#1: The Samuel Wong Case

He got his book back in the end, with a total of 3 D.P. He is rejoicing because ordinarily he would get 6D.P. and probably have the case handed over to the police for 'possession of pornography'.

#2: Epic Bitchfight

During some random period (Bio I think), Dornel drew 3 strokes on my left leg, and I obviously got irritated. I went and scratched his arm with my pen leaving a red trail there, together with a faint pen mark. Being Dornel, he decides that 3:1 isn't a good ratio in his favour, and decides to make it 'even' by drawing more strokes on me, leaving the ratio at... like.. 17:1

I try several times to get back at him, but don't want to get seen by Terence so I don't really do much. But obviously pissed off.

Later on after Bio, Dornel disappears somewhere and I walk to his table and draw crosses on about 10-15 pages of his Bio textbook, as well as spilling the contents of his pencilcase all over his table, and then flipping his bag upside down with the zip wide open. Then Joshua comes along and throws all his stationary on the floor.

Chinese is the next period - Dornel comes in and I'm emoing in the corner with Marcus Choy who is clueless about what happened. I want to go out and take my books, but someone locks the door and Dornel is trying to get out. Seeing this as a chance, I kneel and try to swipe his leg with my pen, and he grabs me and throws me against the door using me as a battering ram (wtf) while scratching into my upper right arm. I got out somehow (he let me go I think) and then furiously stabbed my pen into his arm also, before walking off again.

Later on I went to see the Matron with Darren because Dornel's scratch wound was bleeding off. Had to put disinfectant and a bandage. Don't know what Dornel did with his wound, but it looked scary enough - from what I saw from a quick glance it was a pretty deep stab.

Eventually he says sorry, I of course, being the bastard I am, refuse to apologize.

#3: Dornel and Darren

Dornel says hes just there to help Darren talk to Krystal, while Darren says that Dornel is interested in Krystal's friend. I'm curious to see how this turns out, really.

That is all for events in school, not counting the fact that right now I am bringing my own lunches to school instead of spending money in the SAC on buying food. This week, excluding the $10 that I am permanently saving (in safekeeping with dear mother of mine), I have saved $7.70, meaning I spent $12.30 on buying Pocky, drinks and eggs from the chinese stall. Hopefully next week, even though theres a friday, Ill be able to save $9 at least. Ah, that should be my goal for the week.

Also have joined in Merrill and Jon Wei in playing Shin Megami Tensei (MegaTen for short). An MMORPG/ORPG which involves catching demons and training them, as well as the usual beat-em-up stuff.

Have finished watching Kanokon (just) and am satisfied with the outcome being linked to the start of the story (a confession under the rain). The next series I finish will either be Asu no Yoichi or Akikan, but I must say that I'm more interested in AnY as compared to Akikan.

My life right now is pretty screwed up, I'm incredibly tempted to play because I now have SMT, DotA, Jeanne D'Arc/Yggdra Union (PSP Games), as well as 3 other anime series to watch - I was supposed to study today but ended up playing DotA from 3:30 to around 5 and then playing SMT from 5-7:30.

I might just fail my MidYears, which is obviously bad for me. I'm most worried about Chinese and A Math because:

Chinese - I don't know the format for letter, and obviously my chinese has the same vocabulary as Primary 3 chinese. Seriously.

A Math - Logs are fucking gay, for real.

I'm hoping the guys (you guys) organize a study session even if its an express-IP cross, and hopefully during the Long Weekend. Monday onwards, I'll genuinely be studying alone (probably with a shitload of distractions anyway).

Well, looking forward to (GayxJune)Fest'09, and hoping that we are going to have an outing during the weekend after the exams (or we can all just go to Zong's house and RB because all the drama people have something to do later that night).

Today was interesting.
Nah, just kidding.
Only 2 things worth mentioning happened today.

a) Darren and Dornel have apparently opened up their own dating service with Krystal's friends being the girls up for show. Dornel is the first person to get hooked up by Darren with one of Krystal's friends whose name shall remain anonymous although I'm sure you guys will find out soon. Dornel keeps trying to hook me up with girls too, it's a wonder whether hes worried about my love life or just trying to get me close to a girl so I suffocate in her presence. I wonder if my excitement is because of the lolz that will OBVIOUSLY ensue, or the fact that I will be speaking to a girl. Mmmm..

b) Darren's pen exploded on him. HAH!

there is also the fact that Darren has become a lot more daring with insulting me recently... I'd hate to hurt him...
same with choy.

A Big WTF

Let's start off nicely.
@Dornel: Fuck you.

Anyway.

Nothing much recently. Today after school met up with Zong and Bristan originally to participate in the Bollywood dance thing for the lulz but in the end Bristan went off and Zong didn't really want to do it anyway. Me and Zong went to NTUC/Fairprice to do some FOOD I/C stuff for the Sixers Training Camp, then went to eat. After that went back to school with the plan of going back home. However, Rockband came to mind, and we settled it with Rock Paper Scissors. If Zong won, we'd go to his house to play and if I won, I'd go home.

Coincidentally, he won.

So I went with him to his house to play for about 3 hours, but instead we played like 4, and got the Fagpipers 200,000 more fans. Quite fun, I must say - but probably the last time I go there until after the exams.

Anyway, good luck to everyone for Mid-Years. Hope everyone has a great time studying and letting your eyes burn as you read piles and piles of text with redundant junk information put in to overload our brains with utterly useless knowledge with the simple idea of 'more is better'.

In the hopes that no one dies from overload of information that will most likely result in severe brain hamaerrhoage otherwise, we will all succeed in participating in the Mid Years and will attend the super exciting and highly anticipated GayFest bound to happen on that fateful Friday which would be the last day of prison camp (exams) and will extend from Friday to Saturday where we will spend a sinful amount of hours playing video games that will get your adrenaline rushing, and probably bring you to a new level of ecstacsy.

And in conclusion, I wish every single soul that reads these words the utmost luck in studying, and sincerely hope that everyone is going to do well in these hard, stressful times.

A horrible day.
Woke up in the morning an hour late because dear maid-san forgot about me after poking me once or twice, leaving me to sleep another hour. Then she told me that she couldn't make my lunch because there was no rice left - hence why I ate in the SAC today. The rest of the day was normal, nothing special.

After school went to Zong's class and stoned for a bit, went to library then Dornel went to facebook then I went back up and eventually got our usual party together with additions of Jon Wei and Jerald.

Went out and ate at Broadway before going towards Dover MRT. Had a little challenge where Team 1 (Jerald, Thomas, Me, JW) would run to the MRT station and Team 2 (Dornel, Zong, Bristan, Merrill) would take bus. We won, obviously, scout power.

Went upstairs then Zong and the rest suddenly disappeared leaving me, Jerald and Thomas. We took MRT first, scared of being late. Arrived there quite early, took a nice stroll to the Padang (?).

Got there, stoned.

In any case, Samuel brought the Shuffle! book he bought from KKnM yesterday, and was showing it to JW when some fag started shouting 'Hentai!' leading to the Chinese Dean being attracted to the scene. He searched Samuel's bag and found the book, which had a girl lying on a bad with a blushing face. The Chinese Dean figured it was porn (wtf) and started reprimanding Samuel. Me being pissed off at the side, went all PMS on you guys (sorry about it), especially when Zong kept on saying "Just because you're an otakufag..."

If you think about it. What's wrong with anime as a whole.

I don't really wanna type cuz I'm playing now actually.

Ah well, 3v4 hopeless situation.

Anyway, our Rugby Team lost. So right now feeling kind of pathetic.

Basically today was a normal day at school so I won't bother about it.
However, after school, me and Samuel Wong from Drama (more commonly known as Samuel Wang) went to Sunshine Plaza - a pre planned journey to go out to the anime shop that I posted about a few days/weeks earlier. The store name is called Kareshi Kanojyo no Mise, and I expected for it to be a huge store surrounded by many other smaller stores.

We took the 166 bus from across the road and rode for about an hour before we finally reached Prinsep Street, from which we walked until we found Sunshine Plaza - which is awfully near IOI.

Went in and changed into our alternate costumes (Basically changed our shirts from sch. uniform to black shirts) and then went to KKnM. We walked around a bit and I was a little scared cuz the shop was surprisingly cramped and all the attendants were girls. In the end, after looking around for a bit, we went to look around at the other shops. Found one shop with ecchi displays, and Samuel got excited and stuff. But it was closed.

Surprisingly there was only one other otaku-related shop that was open, not counting the shonen gundam one. We went in there for awhile, and was surrounded by manga and boxes of figures. Although they had a bigger selection, their prices were incredibly expensive. The Cheerleader Haruhi which was being sold at KKnM for 37.50, was being sold there for like, $45 or something near there.

Anyway, in the end I found the CLANNAD Jacket I wanted and bought a Hatsune Miku figma - which is super cute.

Just a nice short post consisting of a joke event.

Was riding in the bus home with Darren and Danyal (and Darren's dad).
Was discussing about how Dornel is always scouting about for girls and his coke.

Then Darren's dad was like
"You know what I think?... I think ah, Dornel ah, takes his cock with ajinomoto(spelling?) and that's what makes him high."

He obviously meant to say coke but, Danyal and Darren didn't catch it and I'm infront giggling.

Nagisa Project

Yesterday, while waiting for a DotA game, I decided to start on some Nagisa fanart. The starting point was 10:30. I started with Adobe Illustrator because I heard it was really good for vector art which was what I was trying to accomplish. Sadly the completely different tools made me rage and then I moved on to Photoshop at like, 11:50~. Then I continued doing, not noticing the time, and finally finished around 1:30. Was too sleepy to upload by then.

I do realise there are a lot of parts that are messed up, like skin shading and the fact that shes missing a body (sorry Nagisa) and that her hair isn't as long as it should be and the antennae are really off (I added them last minute).

Still proud of myself for actually devoting myself to something relatively worthwhile for 4 hours (not incl. DotA, of course).

I was informed by Lam Bing Qing that Dornel threw my jacket into the dustbin.

I took my jacket out of the dustbin.
I saw some kind of dirt and soil on the jacket, making most of the inner-side black.
I controlled my anger.
I went back to my seat.
I acted normally.
I stoned until the day was over.

Going back to the basics

After SYF, my life has returned to normal. No more staying back to 6-7 every single day, I now realise that during SYF I had this feeling that my life actually had a purpose. Right now it's just go to school, fool around and then come home - but I have to note recently I've been paying attention during class and doing the required homework for some reason.

I can't figure out why, but I feel obliged to do Yoon Lay Beng's homework now, maybe because of the pathetic state shes in (no one does it except the most hardworking; Joel Toei and Justin).

Anyway, my current life involves drama on wednesday, tuition on thursday and scouts on friday. Mondays and tuesdays are completely free with nothing to do so I have been spending more time watching anime and stuff - hence the last post.

Right now, since there are no new episodes out, I'm just going through the CLANNAD game. It's spiritually satisfying for me, even if I'm only listening to the voices. (Yes, I have it on autoplay right now while I write this post).

Hm, I wonder what's going to happen tomorrow, if Keith Tan will scold the entire class for not handing up the Elementary Math homework - only me, Joel Toei and Justin handed up, so yeah.

Wow I never noticed the Misae-Tomoyo talking first encounter was so long.

Well, I dunno what to say.

I'm going to KKnM (Kareshi Kanojyo no Mise) together with Samuel (Wong) next tuesday to check out anime stuff and the like.

I could go on talking about DotA since I just had a decent game with a good WD and playing a hero I'm currently interested in - AntiMage. Of course, if I end up disliking AM, I'll move onto Crystal Maiden whom has also intrigued me - so right now my 2 mains are Bloodseeker, Sand King, and the ones I'm looking into putting as my 3rd (and possibly 4th) main is AntiMage, Crystal Maiden, Goblin Techies and Luna Moonfang.

Kannagi & Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu

Warning: Anime-related heavy post

Recently I've been... obtaining a lot of anime series. I could probably list all of the animes I've been watching recently (as in already completed ones). Kannagi, Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu, H2O - Footprints in the Sand.

On the other hand, the ones on my watching list right now are Tears to Tiara, K-On!, Tayutama -Kiss on my Deity- and Senjou no Valkyria.

Well, this post isn't really to talk about the ones I'm watching now, but more on the 2 series that I recently finished. Namely, the ones stated in Blog Title. Kannagi and NHnH. Starting off with NHnH.

Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu
A story about a girl whom is like, legendary around her school for being perfect in every aspect, and a guy who accidentally finds out about her dark secret - she's a hardcore anime and manga otaku.

As usual, my habit of stereotyping everything led me to believe that NHnH would be another stupid lovcom. Well actually, for the most part it was. Nearly every episode was just a bunch of funnies put together with some basic plot. But at least the stories tied together well enough and the whole story was easy to see.

Well, I surprisingly liked this one, especially the ending. Though it's just another one of those 'love triumphs all' things, at least they depicted it.. interestingly.

OP was okay and ED was super fun to watch, a.k.a going on my PSP.

As for Kannagi, I expected a moemoe show.
Actually I didn't even know what this show as about, I just downloaded it because Kannagi seemed so popular all over the internets. Therefore my curiosity got the better of me and I spent about a day getting it. My highest speed torrent ever.

First 10 episodes were mostly funny random episodes, kind of like NHnH except with more of a plot. Even though Episodes 8 through 10 were completely random. As for the last 3, they actually fit an entire story arc in there, though I'm not surprised. If they had stretched it much further it would've been kinda boring - though chances are I woulda stuck through the whole damn thing.

This post is nearly entirely copied off 'Kurogane's Anime Blog'

From being virtually unknown to a catchphrase meme (search YouTube for Haruhi and you’ll see) , Haruhiism has captured the hearts, minds, bodies and souls of countless otaku’s across the globe, yours truly included.

Now, why does Suzumiya Haruhi have such an appeal?

It would undoubtly be the charisma of the heroine herself, Suzumiya Haruhi. As rightly stated out by Kyon, kids often have a limitless imaginative viewpoint of the world, and long for interesting and fun adventures, which no doubt being visited by aliens in UFO’s, encountering big-breasted loli time travellers from the future and ESP-pers would count as one. However, as we learn about the limits and the rules that govern this world, gradually our common sense develops and supresses our imaginations, leaning us to follow the rules of the world.

There is still the innate longing to break away from the humdrums of normal life, and what we label as the inner kid is always present inside everyone. Humans, in general, are curious lifeforms and the inaneness of normal life always drives people to have something they want to experience as “fresh”. In fact, watching anime can be included as a pastime for people to indulge in to break away from the normalcy, which is what makes anime fun in the first place.

As thus, Suzumiya Haruhi is the personification of this curiousity and “inner kid” that all humans have. She steadfastly holds on to the notions of UFO’s, aliens and time travellers, and tries with all her efforts to get in contact with them, stampeding over the barrier that is common sense & rules, ignoring the cruelty of reality and normal life. It is this quality which, no doubt, attracts people towards her, which is the desire to be like her, to break away from the rules that bind people to normal life and preventing them to do things that they want to.

Her utter lack of common sense in her ways to achieve her targets no doubt will shock people, I mean, the way she blackmailed the PC Club to get her computer and cosplaying as bunny girls to promote her club are definitely going to bring gasps to many a mouth, but secretly this appeals to us in a subconcious manner.

The members of the SOS-dan themselves are also part and parcel of the wonder that is Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu. Undoubtly, Kyon plays an important role in the series, which is to be the perfect foil of Suzumiya Haruhi herself, as the cynical, rational and normal high school student, disagreeing to her conducts, yet still attracted to her at the same time, being a normal human being.

Mikuru-chan… well, she’s Mikuru-chan, and as rightly stated by Haruhi-sama herself, she provides the moé appeal for the show, being the shy, naive and innocent type. Yuki Nagato, meanwhile, lends the show an air of mystique, which is apparent after the revelation that she makes in the 3rd episode of that she and Haruhi aren’t really human beings, which establishes the show’s *raison d’etre* for Haruhi’s behaviour and the further appearance of more fascinating things to come.

Of course, when talking about the anime, other factors do come in mind when considering the rapid spread of the phenomenon that is Haruhiism. Undobtably, the fact that the animation studio was KyoAni, which is famous for its recent track record of producting top-notch quality anime, such as Fumoffu, AIR and Second Raid, helped in making people sample the anime. Brand name does play a big part in determining watchlists this season, with the absurdly large numbers of new series’ debuting. Honestly speaking, I wouldn’t have paid that much attention to Suzuharu is XEBEC or Gonzo did it.

The infamous first episode of Suzuharu undoubtbly played a big part in publicizing it, as humans tend to be more impressionable towards negative things rather than positive ones. The sheer fact that the episode consisted of a amateurly done student video, and the fact that it was being done by brand name studio instantly attracted much viewing, especially with the lack of prior information about the series itself. Of course, when episode 2 came out, many otakus watched in interest, and KyoAni blew eveyone out of the water by producing one of the greatest episodes in anime, IMHO, in recent times.

Also, any discussion of the Suzuharu anime would undoubtbly be incomplete without adressing the infamous ED dance sequence by the SOS-dan members. The upbeat music coupled with the masterfully choreographed dance sequence (instructions available here and here) has a mesmerizing effect that is hard to explain and has become somewhat of a cultural phenomenon itself, amazing considering the time that it has been out (only 3 weeks or so), with the infamous Gundam parody, and more recently, the RL version of it. No doubt, the ED sequence has established itself as one of the more memorable ones of anime.

Without question, the phenomenon of Haruhiism will be here to stay and make it’s impact among the otaku fanbase. I have personally never seen such success being achieved by a show, just 3 episodes in it’s initial run. Hopefully, Haruhi’s winning spree will continue on for the rest of it’s run, and I have no doubt about it, judging from the things that I’ve heard about it.

Essentially making no sense

I do realise the banner Otakublog makes no sense because pretty much every post is about my everyday life, but Yuki Nagato is cute so let's just keep her up there.

Well the outing was okay, it lasted from around 10:30 to 5 when it ended with a LANning session in a private room at cineleisure. Right now I can't remember much of it at all.

As for what I've done over the weekends so far, I've changed my Haruhi figures hand from one pointing out (towards me, coincidentally) to the one thats holding the yellow paper cone that she used while directing the Mikuru movie.

Not much to say, except I've been looking around at stuff like Otaku shops in Singapore and found one in Sunshine Plaza, Kareshi Kanojo no Mise. Added their site to bookmarks, joined their mailing list and have sent in an enquiry about Miku Kagami, Sch. Uniform Haruhi and Hiiragi sisters figures.

I really should be doing Keith Tan's Math graphs now.
Have completed the class jacket design prototype one and personally I think it looks like trash and am expecting harsh criticism soon. Picture shown on top.

@Bristan: Well, ironically enough, the things that the people outside of Japan love about Japan are the things that people in Japan seem to dislike. But that's only my assumption since I've never been to Japan (I went once when I was 4 but all I remember is the Disneyland gate and ramen). I guess places like Akihabara exist for a reason - Otaku Haven.

Anyway, not much to post about lar. I went to school despite having a mild fever this morning, coming back with a massive fever (I assume, because my head was friggin hot and I was feeling awful). Bought bubbletea on the way home and carried it around in my hand in a little plastic bag because my bag was so full I couldn't even put the bubbletea inside it.

Got home and played a few games of DotA, decided to learn a new hero - Crixalis the Sand King. I thought he was basically a 'epicenter-shiftblink-blink in and triple kill' hero but yeah, was wrong as usual. First game I went like 0-10 or something like that and felt pathetic, as usual I blamed it on my team. The next few games went on pretty similiarly, got the normal gang of friends to come play together then I had to go for tuition. Came back and played 1 game with Thomas - as usual got the shit k/d ratio. Then the next game (my last one) I got 4-4-14 as Crix. Probably because of the pro SA on our team (actually he just ksed the shit out of everyone and became fat) but yeah - a good ratio is a good ratio.

Mm, going out with the gang tomorrow - you know who you are. From what I hear, it's only going to be me, Merrill, Zong, and Danyal/Dornel will come in later. Bristan has family stuff and church while Thomas has some unknown reasons.

Anyway, that's all for today. Originally was going to ask my mom to bring my $120 savings home just in case we go past a otaku shop but I think I'll leave that for another time - when I won't be lugging home boxes of figures + a Toradora! OST.

Today I took a green form.
I didn't post earlier because after I got home, I pretty much stayed in the toilet for 10-20 minutes and then went to sleep until like, 4-5. Woke up and watched a new anime I just downloaded called 'Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu' which is basically about a girl whom is admired around the school but is secretly a hardcore otaku. If you don't know, otaku's in Japan are actually considered disgusting, even though not everyone is a basement-otaku (stays in the basement infront of the computer and basically doesn't ever leave). Well, I guess Japanese culture is like that. You can't really blame them after all the incidents that happened involving psycho Otakus.

Anyway, today I rewatched 3 anime endings. Well, sort of. The first one was the CLANNAD Afterstory ending where ____ dies. The widescreen version was just put out so I downloaded it and by the time I got home it was done so I watched it, got a little teary again but not as bad as before. Maybe just one or two drops, I suppose. Then as I said, I went to the toilet, went to sleep and woke up. Was watching Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu (NHnH from now on) and then episode 9 wouldn't work so I started downloading VLC Media Player.

In the meantime, figured I'd check what the line 'skilled hawks hide their talons' was in romanji so I rewatched the True Tears ending and read through the OP's lyrics, but couldn't find the line. I guess I got it from somewhere else. Then VLC was still downloading (The ending as in the last.. 3 minutes of the episode or so, where the OP is playing in the background while Noe stares into the sky) so I went on to watch the Toradora ending, the full episode. It basically reminded me why I love anime, and why Toradora is 3rd on my list tied with Gurren Lagann. Though, right now I feel like putting it 2nd together with True Tears making Gurren Lagann 4th.

Listening to the non-OP background music made me look at cdjapan site and I figured if this weekend I can't find any store that sells the Toradora! OST then I'll order it together with my Figma Suzumiya Haruhi.

Probably will be going to school tomorrow, despite my fever still running. Hopefully tomorrow the diarrhea medicine I'm bringing to school will work, and I won't have to use the toilet so often.

Taking Green Form recently is troubling. Everyone probably recognizes me as a serial school-skipper now. Even the receptionist at the front office has recognized my face. Somehow, I'm not surprised. Last year I took at least 10 green forms in total, and in Term 1 2009 I've already taken 4 + 1 in Term 2 (today). Just now when I was walking to the front office, Lester and Vanzino walked past me and Lester was like "Ey Sheep, why you taking green form?" then I saw Vanzino look at me as if he was like "fucking ponner" and he walked away while Lester went "tch" and went on.

So right now, I have this bad vibe coming from all directions and I think the only people who don't mind me taking green form (as in they don't care) are Darren, Merrill and Bristan. Zong for some reason dislikes it whenever I pon school even when I'm not in his class anymore, Danyal I'm just assuming he doesn't like it because occasionally when I see him with the green form he goes "Ah, you're taking it again?" and Dornel - I can't tell. Usually don't talk to him about it.

Feel like drinking Bubble Tea.

Anyway can't skip tomorrow because I don't want to have some fucking hardcore E Math copying on Monday.

I'll go watch a bit more anime and sleep early (11:30 or so).

Alright, around 9:30 Randall requested to play one game with me, I was still kind of meh but ended up playing anyway. Game started off good enough, me and Spiritbreaker versus a Dragon Knight who could deny but couldnt farm, and a Bristle who basically was there for us to whack for fun, kind of like a punching bag.
Game progressed, I used a new build and the game ended at around 55 minutes with me on a score of 15-5-15. With Bloodseeker.
So happy right now.

The Daily Bread

Nothing much to write about ever since SYF ended.
It's just back to the normal school daze (haha, overused pun). Nothing interesting has been going on with the teachers nor have they been doing anything that is worth mentioning. It's the usual mess of Keith Tan being srz-business, Arzami being all sad-at-teaching and whatshername trying desperately to teach chinese. Speaking of which, apparantly I have Chinese Oral on Wednesday during curriculum time. Must be a good way for the teachers to use up our time when they run out of textbook to use as material.

Anyway, I currently have 2 things to do that are actually important; actually producing the class jacket design being the first one and designing the scout jacket being the second one. Yeah, I've pretty much finished off the design for the class jacket - I just need to get around to actually doing it. But since I recently reformatted (twice), I don't have Photoshop with me and it'll take at least a day to get it. I'll just bring the paper version if Keith Tan wants to see it.

Right now on my fresh new torrents list is the batch torrents for Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu and H2O - Footprints in the Sand, together with Adobe Photoshop CS4 Micro. I suppose I won't need the full functionality of CS4 since it seems ridiculously hardcore and CS3 already had a lot of shit I didn't need. Though, I've never even heard of CS4Micro so I'm going to have to check that out. I'm also planning on getting Illustrator just for the watercolor-tool, which basically is like using a high lighter, except smoother.

Yeah, I should be doing English and History homework but right now I'm just kind of bleh. REW probably gonna start tomorrow - and I'm definitely not looking forward to that. Just played a game of DotA with Samuel, Thomas, Sushil and pubs. Ironically, the pubs were fine - but Samuel was so fucking arrogant. Top and bottom were already being owned and DP was frantically going around ganking - and Samuel was so fucking arrogant he purposely died to the enemy 7 times, as he says, 'on purpose'. And this leads to enemies ALL having blink dagger, resulting in our ultimate downfall. It didn't help that Sushil is an under-average player, Thomas was using Clockwerk Goblin whom he obviously didnt know how to use, and I was using Geomancer which I also pretty much sucked at.

Sigh, time to go play some VN. Hopefully finishing up Wanko to Kurasou will calm me down for tomorrow. Mikan~

Saturday: Another day, another mess

Woke up at 7:30 today thanks to my phone alarm, but fell back asleep quickly collapsing on my bed. Woke up again at 12, obviously shocked at how long my 'short nap' had lasted. But nonetheless, first thing was to get to my computer. Checked my WC3 torrent and K-On torrent had finished and CLANNAD DVD Movie was about 70% done. Satisfied enough, started installing WC3. Had some problems but finally got it to work after about an hour of playing around with settings.

Watched K-On while installing, looks like another fun anime to watch. May not have the kind of 'draws-you-in' elements like CLANNAD or True Tears or Kanon or AIR, but more like a Lucky Star with actual plot. Not that I can really say anything at this point though. Anyway, went to shower and started DotAing. First game went okay as Invoker, thanks to a Lycan (who claimd to be a competition player) who destroyed the enemy with countless high tier items, we managed to barely clinch victory (barely because the rest of our team was pretty lackluster so we got pwned and fed). After that got 3 games of loss and then gave up. That pretty much leads up to now - I just started to watch the Gurren Lagann and True Tears endings again and am probably going to play the VN that I mentioned that I had installed recently (Wanko to Kurasou).

Windows 7 is okay so far. It's irritating at certain points like when the damn thing wouldn't let me have access to a folder despite having Administrator with privelages status. And for some reason Marcus and Edward made it so my main drive is only 10gb big, so on Monday I'll ask them to reinstall for me again. Until then I'll have to bear with minimal space. Other negatives would be the graphics in WC3 constantly spasming and higher lag, and positives include high download speed for Firefox and higher torrent speed. No idea what it has to do with W7 though.

Nothing much to say today. I'm just currently waiting for the K-On OP's and ED's to be released on Gendou so that I may whore over them as I did for the Toradora OP/ED and True Tears OP. Speaking of which, Reflectia is currently one of my favourite songs and I always start off my playlist with it. Though, I don't really think of True Tears when I listen to it.

Also trying to find a HQ video of the True Tears OP and K-On ED.
Mostly anime otaku stuff.

In other news; Tales of Vesperia is being ported to the PS3 with a new character added. This only leaves 2 or 3 other games on the 360 that I would buy it for. Namely, CLANNAD 360, IdolM@ster and... one more game I am unable to recall.

SYF 09 and Scouts Campfire Crescent Girls

Today.
Woke up at Zong's house and went to school (reached there) around 6:30 to start off SYF rehearsal. Started off late as expected but run ran well. Quite hectic as we managed to get to ACJC, unload, got a prayer said for us by Dr. Ong and got to see totally crazy make-up done.
When I think about it, what DID I do for SYF 09?

- Acted as a Stage Manager for awhile
- Changed to Flat Guy
- Helped do Zong's Instruction Manual
- Stayed back on Sunday (Stayed for 2 hours, worked for like.. 1)

I guess I was one of those people that Madam was talking about. I barely did anything at all, possibly on her blacklist now. But meh, I'm aiming to be helpful in FoA at least.

Well after we got back from ACJC, we slacked around for a bit, got to eat lunch that Mdm. treated us to. However Zong was having stomach convulsions (?) so I stayed back for a bit, then hesitantly went to eat as Zong went into the toilet. Only ate one slice and took a few sips of Green Tea, then got pissed when Darren kept insulting me because I wasn't eating. It kind of reminded me of Dornel talking about me being emo or antisocial, except Darren's remarks were laced with vulgarities, which I obviously answered with vulgarities. One conversation went something like

DK:"Hey Sheep, eat lah."
ME:"Nah, I'm not hungry."
DK:"..."
ME:"..."
DK:"...Fucker."
ME:"...What the fuck you want lah."

Anyway after Marcus said something about going to check on Zong, decided to go see if Zong was okay. Found him near the Yoghurt Ice Cream shop with David helping. All this eventually led up to Zong going to the Matron and then getting better after a short while in the toilet - then went back to help at Drama. Later on had to go Scouts, and was told if I do the NYAA course then I don't need to go campfire tonight. Of course this ultimately came back to bite me in the ass, because SPL told me that "Nevermind, you don't do NYAA. Just come for campfire tonight" so I basically wasted an hour or so waiting for Scouts to start and then got told to go home.

Marcus Choy fetched me home. By the way, any Marcus prior to this mentioning is Marcus Liew.

Came home and installed a Visual Novel, then realised I didn't save WC3 in my External so right now I'm downloading it through torrent - but Randall is compressing for me and sending me through msn so I'll just see which is faster.

Eventually went to Scouts. I don't really want to talk about it because I'm tired right now, and chances are I won't ever post about it, so I just won't bullshit you guys.

Yeah.. just waiting for WC3 to finish now. Hopefully I get to play a game tonight, or I'll just be installing CLANNAD and stuff.

By the way, I'M MISSING A FUCKING HARD DRIVE. WHERES MY 40GB C DRIVE, WTF?

Feeling kinda pathetic.
Zong has surpassed me in Scout ranking.
Marcus was promoted above me after being my subordinate for.. what.. 2 rehearsals?

Sigh.
And my Nendoroid Bunny Haruhi/Yuki/Mikuru also seem to be fake - or maybe just thinking that because Haruhi came without her right ribbon and I'm missing a few accessories. And reportedly, a fake Nendoroid bunny set Haruhi cannot stand up straight and well, mine can't.

I'm almost not surprised, because I'm still an amatuer otaku, I was super excited when I bought it, and I got it for only $50 when it's supposedly a super rare set.

Well, at least I'm pretty sure the Max Factory Haruhi (The big one) is real. Pretty sure.

Anyway, going to Zong's house tomorrow after drama, sleepover or not, to play Rockband for a little while. Hopefully they don't stretch the rehearsal for like 2+ hours like they did today (from 3-5 to 3-7.20)

Not much to say. I should be doing my History homework but instead I'm insulting everybody on my team for being a noob or not doing something right.
