Biology and A Math P2 tomorrow

Well tomorrow I have Bio and AMP2.
After failing AMP1 so damn miserably, I am pretty depressed about how tomorrow is going to turn out, especially since paper 2 is usually that much harder (or just ridiculously more tedious if I'm lucky). I have studied about 3 hours worth of Bio so far (well if you count half looking at the book, half stoning or doing other shit as studying). Played 2 DotA games today since I woke up at 9, lost both. Looks like Haruhi-sama actually wants me to study today. Will get right on it after this last one. Really, I have no self-control.

Good luck to everyone else. Will start studying Bio and Chinese after, and finishing off with memorizing AM formulae tonight.

Favourite anime couplings

I feel awfully obliged to post some sort of anime-related post because the banner says Otaku Blog. Hence, I shall post my top three favourite anime couples for you guys to, um, appreciate. Note that the Japanese romanji I type out is more than likely wrong spelling or even entirely wrong words.

1. Ryuuji x Taiga (Toradora)

Seriously, watching them pretend their not in love with each other and are just friends is so cute, and the confession scene and following episodes are awesome. Not to mention the swimming competition. The rest of Toradora! is a bit unreal (seriously, how does Ryuuji say such cheesy things anyway) but still like, my 2nd or 3rd top anime.

P.S. Sorry Bristan for totally ruining Toradora's entire storyline, but I'm sure you anticipated it.

2. Tomoya x Nagisa (CLANNAD)

The only anime couple that I have seen that actually gets into the srz buziness, such as sex and pregnancy. Watching Nagisa die wasn't exactly a happy episode though, but I anticipated it, definitely, especially since I finished the Visual Novel before I finished the anime.

3. Yuiichi x Ayu (Kanon)

Kanon was like, a fantasy twist on some typical KEY. Although AIR rates above Kanon on the anime scale, I don't think whatshisname from AIR and Misuzu were much of a couple at all anyway. He was more like a big brother. Well anyway, there isn't a lot to say about Ayu either. Kanon had a lot more of the other girls than Ayu until the last arc, as usual, but watching Yuiichi going to the hospital like everyday to talk to Ayu and Ayu bringing everyone together was like awesome and stuff. Not much quote for this pair.

...okay so that wasn't much, but it makes me feel more of what I should be.

thinking of ordering the Kanon/CLANNAD/Air in BluRay to watch on my PS3 because the upscale for my hdtv just makes the anime look weird.

English Paper 2 and History Elective

ELP2:
Ah, what to say, really. Found the comprehension quite easy, as usual. Usually ends up with me getting something like 66.6% and the summary - I followed Mr. Arzami's tactic, which is basically highlighting all the points that the question asks you to find (which in this case is the difficulties Pahom faced and the actions that he made out of greed) and list them out, then change them all to 10 words or less. I managed to do that and finished my summary like 4 minutes before the end of paper then started to half-hitch (scout knot) my paper until the time was up. I guess it should be okay, hopefully I get an A for once - never gotten an A for English except for in Primary School (was one of the best compo writers in my class, doubt so now).

History Elect:
I feel ashamed, really. For someone who was supposed to go History Core, I failed quite badly. Like, I expected Hitler to come out because he's the latest topic and damn hardcore, but instead he came as an optional question like an optional boss in a video game with 999k health and a one-hit KO attack that you can't kill unless you grind like mad. Anyway, I did the SBQs which were quite normal, but by the time I reached the third one (there are 4 SBQs and 2 Essay questions), my hand was totally red and looked damn sore, but I managed to finish the paper in the end anyway. Hand was super pain after the end of the exam.

Today was normal so far. Lost 2 DotA games with Merrill and Randall (The first one the host left, and we were on host team. 2nd one the team was noob, and Randall sucks at Sacred Warrior). Then Merrill went off to mug and Randall went for tuition so I started to mug Geog Core. Just finished making my notes for T2 recently, it's pretty compact. It's all fitted onto 2 sheets of paper, though I didn't include Vulcanicity and Coasts, which I will refer to the actual handouts because I can't find them right now anyway.

Spent last night watching this awesome guy play the piano solos for Cagayake! GIRLS, Orange and a Toradora! medley and Merrill showed me an awesome video of some girl with knee socks playing guitars. I now have the piano videos on my PSP and am looking for more J-girl awesomeness. Seriously, look at this. She played the solo on Crazy Train on the real guitar (shes also very cute if you look at the meido dance video).

I feel like playing GH:WT just so I get to play this song and fail at it. Still remember dying the 1st time on the Crazy Train solo.

Not safe for those with overly innocent hearts or just cannot take 9 girls dancing simultaneously in short half-thigh-length shorts.

Still can't wait to go play at Zong's house. The only thing I'm looking forward to is Dragoneer's Aria finishing, my anime episodes coming out (Hatsukoi Limited, Tayutama, K-On! and Asura Cryin) and playing DotA with Randall and (Insert possible other player here) everyday after school. Since my next week is actually awfully slack, I'll probably spend like Saturday and Sunday playing and spend monday desperately studying Bio.

Oh shit, I can predict the future.

Social Studies and Chemistry

SS:
Quite screwed lah. My SBQ answers were longer than my SEQ answers, so I obviously did something wrong there. Hopefully enough to pass and get more than 60 if I'm lucky, but even term 1 I was unable to get more than a 59~ (Whats 8/13?)

Chemistry:
...Shit. The stuff I totally didn't expect came out (so many bonding questions). Quite screwed, once again, hopefully I can pass this one. Don't think my L1R5 for midyears is going to be any lower than 15.

Quite bullshit considering my target L1R5 is 10.
Spent today up till now playing DotA (except for like 1 hour of sleeping and 2 hours of stoning and literally doing nothing except listening to music). Got my Garena Ladder level up to 4, going to start double-revising my History from now. This will be my last computer activity today, hopefully.

Tomorrow is ELP2 and History Elective paper. Justin will be going home early tomorrow so I'll be alone with Darren (Dornel wasn't with us today, he went off to study on his own or something). Right now just taking it quite easy. Friday is going to be murder though, A Math and Geog Core. Can't wait to get that bullshit over and done with, then next week is considerably slacker.

Tues: AMP2/Bio
Wednesday: CLP1/Physics ( I don't take Physics)
Thursday: EMP2/Lit (I don't take Lit)
Friday: CLP2/CL LisC

And then will proceed to Zong's house to play RB unless plans are cancelled. Yes, I'm already thinking of the fun I'll have AFTER the exams. A bit too happy-go-lucky, I think. Oh well, I've survived this far with that attitude.

Going to mug History now. Will upate tomorrow, probably inbetween mugging the 30+ terms I need to know for Geography.

Also, Jon Ng is a friggin liar. Even GCore is going Topo-maps later on. (Actually already doing some basic map reading now).

English Paper 1 and E Math Paper 1

English:
Usual kind of english paper. Like most of the student population I went with the 'Success' topic. At first I tried to write about how being successful isn't all about accomplishing something or being rich and famous and stuff, but about doing good deeds or some shit. Then I realized I didn't have enough morals to write more than one page of the foolscap, so I just wrote a narrative about my valiant efforts during my Year 1 competitive x-country run.

E Math:
Okay lah. Not too horrible rapage. But I heard Mr. Keith Tan talking to Mdm. ShuXuHong in chinese, something like 'I saw his exam paper... a lot of mistakes'. Something like that lah. Frightening thing is it was my paper he looked at awhile ago.

Having SS and Chemistry exams tomorrow. Only worried for SS, Chem can't be too hard.
By the way, someone should talk to Dornel. I think examination pressure is crushing that feeble brain of his. Allow me to quote.

....What's that? Study?

As usual, am slacking off. Depending on sheer luck to get me through English and will hardcore E Math for the 1 hour recess while eating croissant made by my mother. Doubt that the English paper will be so difficult that I'll fail, but also doubt I'll get anything higher than a B3. As for E Math, I don't think I'll fail but I don't think I'll score higher than B4. But who knows, the paper may be super fucking easy and I get a lucky break to bring up my E Math average (Term 1 57.5). Of course, shit like that never happens to slacker people like me, and I'm going to be one of those few people sweating in an air-conditioned auditorium.

Tried to do a few questions from the E Math midyear paper that Mr. Keith Tan gave us and found it okay, not brain-wrecking at least. Mostly worried about the Think-outside-the-Box questions. As for English, only scared for vocabulary and summary, letter is usually quite decent in my case.

Spending most of my time thinking about the fun we'll all have after the exams are over (In case you guys don't know, we're planning an outing on the last day of the examinations. As usual.) and how fun Rockband is going to be with 4 people again, with someone commenting on whoever is failing and me being an emo with the guitar or drums.

Well, going to watch Akikan! now because I couldn't care less about my grades - although I'll be the only one depressed at the end of the Midyears, except maybe for Dornel. Pretty sad for him if I beat him again without studying at all. (Yes, me making E Math notes was a lie.)

Waiting for the Sono Hanabira translation and Kanon translation as usual, hope they be done by the holidays so I have something to do rather than catch up on my studies. I know certain people will be thinking that I am disgusting and don't deserve my place in ACS (Independent), and yeah. Just would like to say: I know.

Another thing would be Dornel is calling me a fag-faced fag a lot more than usual recently. Wonder what's up with him, don't remember aggroing the French creep in the past few days, not counting the incredible fight. I still remember the fucked up face he showed me when he was scratching into my skin, but anyways the wound he inflicted is nearly gone.

Exam Period~

Well, as usual it's me slacking of although I should be hardcore mugging. Have the Chemistry notes for Acids and Bases in front of me and I'm kind of half reading while typing. Haven't studied as much as I should have (as usual) but still have about 10 hours more of today and maybe 4 hours of tomorrow. My study schedule for today is mug until 4:30, play a bit and then mug again later after maybe 1-2 DotA games + some anime added on. I've always depended on sheer luck and common sense + my subconscious listener during class to get me through exams but this time I think I'm really fucked.

The only subjects I'm worried are: Geography, Biology and History (Chapter 3, which I haven't even read yet). Chemistry and the rest all seem relatively okay, even A Math since Zong's pseudo tutoring for Logarithm's has helped me quite a bit.

The study session on Friday had about 3 hours of studying and 3 hours of playing so HAH to everyone who didn't come - it was an enlightening experience. By the way, everyone who's in our Rockband Fagpipers Band (..basically everyone except Dornel who is the multi-purpose to fill in for anyone whom is not there) is going to have to upgrade themselves to either Medium or Hard because the game isn't letting us get anymore fans just cuz we're too kickass.

Well, another reminder to myself, study Chem from now until 3:30, SS until 4:30 and then study moar Chem with some SS sprinkled at the side for the hell of it.

Also downloading To Love-Ru in Widescreen (not for people like Bristan and Danyal, and if Zong or Dornel sees it I'm going to get a lot more 'otakufag', which means it's probably fucked up for me to post it up here.)

Looking forward to the Kanon translation being completed. Am hoping for someone to translate AIR, and also looking for someone to send me AIR the anime series. TYVM, will trade AIR visual novel for it.
